I reached a healthy weight (BMI is 25) and I'm planning to have a tummy tuck + lipo in the coming months to address loose skin and body contour. long term I'd like to get into bodybuilding, but I can't do much about that due to gym closures and the pandemic. I'm wondering if it is possible to do the tummy tuck now, and then once gyms open up I can continue with healthy eating and exercise to lose fat and be lean enough to start bodybuilding.
I am a 39 year old bodybuilder who had a tummy tuck due to loose skin after weight loss & 4 cesareans & 2 hernias. My stomach looked good prior to surgery aside from skin, I had decent ab definition, I am concerned I may not see good ab definition like I had before so I asked my PS, he said removing the skin from the muscle layer to tighten will prevent the skin from being tight to the muscle again & I wont see that good of definition again, will my skin readhere & show them?
Had a massive dogear post TT, muscle repair & panniculectomy. My surgeon doesn't do lipo at the same time. A weird alien developed basically since the beginning. As my muscles come back it's getting worse. I body build, track macro's etc, I haven't gained weight, I can't lose either. I've had 2 rds of lipo in office now. This time on my flanks after the first one didn't get rid of the muffin top issue. Finally, get rid of that and now this alien is appearing worse than before. What is this?
I have noticed recently there are some small lumps/bumps in my abdominal area. I am currently training for an upcoming bodybuilding competition in 3 weeks and just want to make sure I shouldn't be concerned. I haven't contacted my doctor yet. Thought I would post here and then call if recommended. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
I am a competitive body builder and am doing the tummy tuck because of excess skin. I am coming off of a 2 year break so I am still trying to drop some more weight. My biggest worry is weight gain post-op. Are there certain exercises I can do now (core work, lower back exercises, etc.) that may help with a faster and better recovery? I have a pretty strong core and overall physique so I am hoping that me being so physically built pre-surgery will allow me to heal a little better. Yes? No?
I do repeated cycled of bulking and cutting. Would it be better to have a lower body fat percentage before a tummy tuck in order to deflate the skin of as uch fat? That way less fat cells are removed so that I can avoid fat redistribution? I know fat cells remain the same and just grow and shrink, so I am not sure if that has any effect? I hope my question makes sense.
I am a bodybuilder/physique competitor....female. My waist has gotten thick from muscle development over the years and age now i think. Is there anything to give me a dent so to speak in my sides . Basically i want curve again....im straight up and down....round butt and not too big muscles, fairly symetrical except my waist!! My bodyfat is probably 14% and when i diet for show no fat and still my waist wont hourglass like it used to. Can anything surgical be done!? Help!
