I have nasal valve collapse/dev. septum. 7 wks post op hernia repair, 1/2 cm w/sutures. Stomach painful I have GERD and was a bad candidate for this to begin w/, did not understand surgery. Belly button small & tight & higher umbilicus absolutely feels like it is closing off airway. I regret this surgery. My stomach does not feel even inside & feels too high. I had defect, no sac; if surgeon removes sutures, what w/happen to my belly button?I would rather have space in air cavity/stomach.
Abdominoplasty 5 yrs ago. Felt like tightest pair of spanx and hard to deep breathe- uncomfortable!! Developed upper abd bulge looked strange. Tightness and bulge ever present. lower abdomen is tight I am57 160lbs. Ive developed chronic gerd. On endoscopy - Barrets esophagus with hiatal hernia due to increased intraabd pressure. now on Prilosec 20-40 mg (side effects)still with cascade of symptoms. Im at inc risk for esoph ca as a result of all this. none was discussed prior to surgery.
Recently I was diagnosed with umbilical hernia and 13mm diastis recti, hiatal hernia and Gerd. 1) is it possible that the diastis recti cause the hernia and Gerd? 2) if I only repair the hernia, will it develop again being that the diastis isn't repaired? 3) is it possible that the small bulge in my stomach is from the hernia and not the diastis recti? 4) is it possible to just repair the hernias and have liposuction done on the flanks at the same time? Thanks in advance ;)
I want to have a tummy tuck but recently I had an episode of acid reflux that has made me wonder. When I get these GERD attacks I have the sensation of chest pressure and its harder to breath so wonder if I'm having the DR closed with no give in and I have the GERD attack what would be the effect? I'm afraid then I would not be able to breath with more compression. Or maybe is the severe DR that is causing the breathing issue?
After 2 Caesarian operations I was diagnosed with 7cm diastase that causes back problems, blocked ribs.I also started to have problems with acid reflux. My neurologist told me I have these problems because of the diastase, my diaphragm is in the wrong position because of the bad posture and that is the reason why I have acid reflux. She recommends me abdominoplasty.Ive read that abdominoplasty makes reflux worse.I dont have diaphragmatic hernia. I am scared reflux will be worse after the operation.
I have previously described how I ended up with two abdominoplasties and still did not have good results. It feels like all my guts were crammed up under my breasts and sewed in place. Since that last surgery, I have had laryngeal reflux and GERD. I've never had it before. Could it be a complication of the muscle repair? I also no longer bloat in the lower abdomen but up under my breasts. Can this be fixed? At the time of a hysterectomy, my GYN said there were metal staples in there.
