9 months ago had tummy tuck , it was flat at first up until 8 weeks when i started doing weight training the doctors said ok to train. Since then my belly have stayed big like this and it bit lose tjr skin is. It's constantly big. What's happened?
I am 9 months post op from a Fleur-de-Lis Abdominoplasty. A few months ago, I have started to have a bulge on my upper abdomen. The picture of the flatter tummy was taken 3 months post op, the other one was taken recently. I was wondering what is the most likely cause and if there is something I can do better about it. My weight is the same as when the first picture was taken.
Im currently 9 months post op from a tt started to notice on my right side I feel a pain when bending , working out, or even stretching. I also notice there is something poking out a little under my incision line. My incision is completed healed however I can feel this weird knot under the skin and when I press on it or try to grip it with my thumb and index finger it hurts any idea what it may be and the reason for the pain?
I had a procedure done May 2022, still trying to clear up bacterial infection at all of the suture sites/Vicryl used. How common? I had surgery in May 2022, the next night after surgery had horrible sweats, shook the bed off it's foundation almost, fever, etc. 5 night later went to the ER with 103F fever. they ran a bunch of tests but didn't help. my PCP gave me bactrim the next day; fever went even higher, could not regulate breath or heart rate. Probably allergic. 1 month later, 1 of the sites burst w/yellow pus. 6 months later felt like I was growing pack of avocados in my belly. had them drained/M. Fortuitum
9 months post op. Stomach looks fine standing or laying down. Original surgeon in Miami says I need lipo 360. Local surgeon says I don't need lipo to the abdomen but that the issue is the skin could've been pulled down more. I am getting liposuction to the sides, back, and waist.
Hi All, I had a full tummy tuck and 2x hernia repairs in October last year. I am a long distance runner and was having terrible issues with large separation and chronic infection in my c section scar. I am battling terrible swelling post run, I have reduced Km but it still is an issue. Ive a sauna mat, have had some RF treatment and lymphatic massage. Any suggestions? Please tell me this will improve
I am 9 months post surgery. I understand these are my permanent results. I am swollen and have a lot of tightness. Especially from my mid to lower tummy. It actually hurts when I stretch or when I do ab exercises. What could be wrong? I do have a surgeon but I would like a community opinion. My surgeon is board certified & tenured, but keeps telling me give it time :( I didnt even want a full tuck, only a mini. Button is flat bc i dont have enough fat. Before& after photo included.
I had TT with muscle plication below BB only 3/18. Lower abdomen still bulging though no midline muscle separation can be felt or seen. I have read about oblique muscle plication. When I lean back w/o engaging my core I can see the small diastasis in upper abs, with similar, more extreme, outward bulging along the obliques. Is this indicative of laxity/separation of obliques? Does it appear that oblique plication would significantly flatten my tummy? 5'4 135lbs, for reference.. Thank you!
Tummy tuck done in December 2021. I had an infection 3 weeks post op. As I was dealing with that issue, I had a lump I noticed about 2 months later that the surgeon said was my hernia. I had my hernia surgery 6 weeks ago and the general surgeon said I have abdominal atrophy and I will have this lump forever. She said she can refer me to an abdominal surgeon if I have pain but she recommended never touching the area. How could this happen? And is it repairable?
