I am 3 years post TT with MR. I still swell daily and it gets really hard and swelling can be painful to the touch. Is the shelf like appearance of my tummy due to poor healing of my scar and build up of scar tissue internally? And if so, would a revision address this? A massage therapist told me this is lymph that can't drain because of my scar, could a revision improve this?
I had a full tummy tuck and muscle repair in 2019 after two 4kg babies via c section. I am pregnant again, contraception failed. I am wanting to know if with minimal weight gain (excessive weight gain previously 50lbs gain in pregnancy) could I have a chance at saving my tummy tuck results and muscle repair. I will be due to deliver via c section again will this damage the muscle repair? Thank you
Im 3 years post op full TT w/muscle repair. The past year Ive been experiencing abdominal distention, and my stomach is super hard to the touch. Ive seen gastroenterologists thinking its related to that and they cannot find any issues internally. Im im miserable. I have actually lost 14 lbs since my surgery so its not due to weight gain. What would cause this hardness and distention ? Also when I stand for long periods it gets worse.
Im 51 yes old, 59 and 185#s. I had a sleeve done 3 years ago and a revision to bypass 8 months ago. My initial weight was 292 and a goal weight of 165-170. I desperately need to have the skin removed that is hanging. It hinders exercise, movement in general, and I am constantly fighting yeast rashes below my panni. I am not sure what surgery would help me the most. At my age I am not concerned about what I look like naked but this hinders wearing normal clothing even. What do you suggest?
I had a TT with diastasis repair Dec 2019. April 2021, a large lump appeared below my belly button. I had a repair to the lump May 2021. My PS said I ripped the fascia, staples were bent. The repair was with dissolvable stitches, belly button down. The lump, size of a bouncy ball has returned. I have not done anything differently in the past year, peloton & light PT. I need a plan to move forward that does not involve surgery every year and allows me to live a normal life.
I had a tummy tuck, lipo and fat transfer about 3 years ago. In the crease on my hip and thigh I get a burning/stinging sensation. I had lipo in other areas also but this is the only area that I feel the burning. Is this normal?
Im 26 I had a sleeve gastrectomy 3 years ago. I lost 130lbs. Had a baby 10 months ago and losing the 20lbs of baby weight she blessed me with that Im working my ass off to lose. Looking to have surgery the end of this year. Im not sure what surgery I need to fix this or if insurance may cover it I have Blue Cross Blue Shield. I wear a girdle daily so my skin flap doesnt give me ingrown hairs/sires on my pubic area.
Hi, I just wanted to ask if there should be tissue or muscle that is extremely hardened under the skin of the abdomen, after a 3 year old tummy tuck. Maybe this is scar tissue build up? Can I do anything to soften the feel of it? The hardened area is mostly above my belly button and outward about 4 inches on each side of my belly button. Please advise with any suggestions or remedies.
