I'm 5'5 weighing approximately 277 so my BMI about 46. I want to lose weight before my tummy tuck so I can get good results in the tummy area. Is there certain exercise(s) I should do (cardio, weights, core, etc) or to avoid to not cause additional problems. I want to give the doctor something good to work with. I want to reach my goal by 1/2023
I'm a very healthy 5'9 and 280 pounds female but my BMI is approximately 41%. I have a lot of muscle tone. My stomach doesn't stick out or have a lot of fat. My stomach is mostly skin that hangs but looks flat under clothes. I don't look morbidly obese. Do I not qualify for a tummy tuck because of my high BMI? Thank you.
I had wls back in 2013 and i gained some weight back.. for over a year ive diet and excerised ive done everything from keto to vegan. and i see no more then a 5lb difference. all i want is to get this weight off my back and stomach its causing a lot of back pain.
My current weight is 270. Ive had 2 wls w/ a 110 lb wl. BC of a car accident I have severe back pain. DDD, scoliosis, two failed spinal fusion/laminectomy surgeries, lumbar radiculopathy, disc bulges/herniations. I get spine injections, use lidocaine patches and PT doesnt help. Will my Aetna POS II plan approve abdominoplasty for therapeutic reasons. Studies show removal of excess skin can improve chronic back pain. Exercising is painful, I'm on LTD & my orthopedic surgeon has me on restrictions.
Hi doctors! I lost 100 lbs last year with diet and exercise. The more I lose, the more my skin hangs and its hard for me to do certain workouts. I still have a lot more weight to lose but I really want to do get rid of the lower part of my belly. Im 53, 275 lbs. I was 380! I feel great how I am now. How much more do I need to lose to be able to get a tummy tuck and arm lift? Thanks in advance!
Im 5'1, 270 lbs, in great health and am in the process of trying to lose weight. Given my weight and my bulging stomach though it's been very difficult on my back and ankles, not to mention hard on my self esteem. Am I a good candidate for any sort of fat removal/shaping that could help with my stomach, the fat rolls on my back, and mayve help shap my butt?
I have lost appx 60-70 lbs but I am still significantly obese. Weighing in at 280. My problem is in my twenties I had a Fallopian tube removed and they cut across my stomach which left me with no sensation on my belly and it hangs. With the weight loss it hangs more. I want to continue losing weight but the belly hang is embarrassing and i get sweat, rashes and yeast infections there. Would it be worth getting a tummy tuck and Lipo now, knowing I want to loose a significant amount of more weight?
Before I got pregnant with my son I was 190 pounds.. and now I am 273 pounds & my son is 11 months old. I want to fix my low hanging belly.. I carried him so low it just hangs there.. and I hate the way it looks. I have caresource as my insurance.. is there anything? Surgery? Exercise?
