I have my full tummy tuck done 5 weeks ago with a vertical scar that doesn't seem to heal. Now it's scabing over, my plastic surgeon said it will fall off by itself but I'm scare of necrosis. I'm seeing him in 2 days and will ask for wound debribement. Should I be worried? It is completely dried and the scab seems to get smaller as the week goes by.
I'm now 6 weeks post-Tummy Tuck, and I am pleased with the results. However, I'm bothered that my pubic area appears to be 2-3 centimeters higher/bigger that it was pre-operation. My underwear used to cover the area completely, but now they don't. Is this normal? Will the skin eventually stretch back to its place?
I got a tummy tuck 5 weeks ago and I dont have neither a flat tummy or a solid belly, still saggy. The Dr marked a higer area but he didnt went that high, my belly button was relocated, when I asked him about muscles rest, his answer was partially, the weight of what he removed and his answer was from 10 to 15 pounds, does the weight of what they removed is not important? I know I need a 2nd surgery for mons pubs in about 3 to 4 months, so can he do anything better? Should I change my Doctor?
My TT was almost a month ago. I've had a very good physical recovery; however, since surgery, I've been having vivid dreams almost every night. Last night I had a nightmare and my husband woke me up crying and freaking out. It still feels real to me now. I've never been one to remember dreams before this. Is it normal to have vivid dreams/nightmares this far past my surgery? I've been off the narcotics since day 4 or 5 and am only on occasional Tylenol or Motrin.
22 days post tummy tuck, liposuction of trunk and arms. About a week ago started developing an allergy like rash to tuck incision and at every liposuction incision. No pain, fever nor other sign of infection, only this super itchy rash. Currently on Benadryl and Bactrim as per PS , just to prevent any infection from developing.
I had a full TT 5 months ago I was 5'4 and weighed 123lbs. I workout and have a low-cal diet, I never had a fat stomach just separation of muscles and loose skin. I expected to look completely flat after my full TT with slight liposuction but its not, I still have a slight pouch. I told my PS and he said everyone will still have a slight pouch or they are sucking in. I am back working out but the change is not like I expected. No one can tell I had anything done and I am 120 lbs is this true?
Five weeks ago today I got a Fleur de Lis surgery done. It removed almost 9lbs of excess skin. I had two drains in after surgery, one was removed after two weeks and then other three. However, since the second drain was removed two weeks ago, a lot of fluid has built up in my lower abdomen.Tomorrow, I will be going in to have excess fluid drained with a needle. This time, the area protrudes out more then before. My surgeon doesn't seemed too concerned but I am. Do I need another drain put in?
Hi I am 4 weeks post op. I felt a popping and had a bugle under my best bone last week saw nurses sent away saying nothing wrong. This week I have felt more popping and pain as got sickness bug and Bugle is still there scar is now bleeding. Emailed & called no response. Done lying flat with knees bent feet flat and pillow in curve of back lifted my shoulders and I can feel a 2 finger gap at the top of my abdomen and then it is closed so I would say it is 3 stitches. Shooting pains unable to drive due to pain. Resting for day like this and getting worse and burning at the top of abdomen. Is this going to affect tt majorly?
Tummy tuck post OP 5 weeks I have a seroma found by a ct scan and now have a open wound this morning a small wound opened and started draining it looks like puss my bigger wound hurts is draining a lot I change it 3-4times a day with a thick pad I'm so frustrated my surgeon says it not infected but it sticks I been packing the big one with gauze a big pad and tape
