Had a tummy tuck 5 months ago. Lower abdomen seems to still be protruding? My dr says Im still about 15% swollen and that area is last to drain. His nurse said it may be scar tissue behind the incision. I had spitting stitches early on in the middle and caused that area to heal wider. Im considering scar revision closer to the one year mark but wondering if a revision would help this area get flatter?
Tummy Tuck Scar Tissue Remova I had a mommy make over in 2015. I am happy with my overall results however I had expected the swelling at my tummy tuck to have gone away a long time ago. I am now understanding this must be a lot of scar tissue. It is hard and always sticking out. Are there any procedures that can be done to remove this or reduce the size of the lump I now have?
Ultrasound to look for scar tissue, pseudo bursa after tummy tuck. Lower abdomen buldges out I had a tummy tuck 14 months ago. I did have a seroma after my drain came out that was aspirated. I've had a deformity/bulging and pulling sensation ever since. My surgeon has consistently ignored me. We have a portable ultrasound at my work, and I'm wondering if any of this shows scar tissue or an encapsulated seroma. I probably didn't do it right, but here are some images.
Hi. I would appreciate any help. I had a tummy tuck in 2016. Immediately after I felt extreme tugging from my belly button internally. I had a revisional surgery in 2018 to remove the permanent sutures and release any scar tissue. I saw that about 14 sutures were removed. Im still having this pain. I have 2 children and its really affecting my life. Can someone please help suggest what I can do? Ive had steriod shots injected and physical therapy. Nothing has helped. Thank you.
I had a full tummy tuck October 2021. The next day it was discovered I had developed a golf ball sized hematoma. My drains were removed 7 days later then I had the area aspirated daily for 30 days. It then showed I had a pseudobursa. I had a full revision May 2022 with drains and all. I could tell a few days after the revision that scar tissue still remained. The Dr. then placed Kenalog 10 and 5FU to try and dissolve the scar tissue. My stomach looks so bumpy and irregular. What can I do?
Imommy makeover on 1/28/22 and the drains were removed to early. I then had to have new drain put in that again was removed to early and had to be manually drained. Around 5-6 months post op I noticed a hardened area above my belly button. I am working on trying to get revision but the dr I went to is having a hard time determining what this is. He is thinking its a seroma could I have one after this long? Sometimes it more swollen then others. Its between the abdominal wall and skin that moves
I had an abdominoplasty in January 2022 and am very unhappy with the scar. It is raised and red but not painful. I also have scars where the drains were removed. I use silicone gel and scar tape and massage daily.I have had extreme GI difficulties sporadically for the past 4 months. Is it possible there is scar tissue building up?
I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair in November 2021. I developed a seroma shortly after surgery above my belly button & could never get in down or drained consistently. Confirmed by CT recently at almost 8 months post op I now have scar tissue. This bulge above my belly button never goes away despite still wear compression garments daily. Its a very tight feeling and Im literally stretching out. My scar has stretched tremendously. Can lipo fix this or do I need another tummy tuck?
I had a tummy tuck 6 months ago I have one side very noticeably bigger than the other very soft and on that side and a tiny deep sore spot about the size of a quarter.Revision Is scheduled for exactly one year from my last procedure is it possible this is a pseudobursa or just loose skin? if a pseudobursa is found will it be removed? My dr said I had a lot of scar tissue and my skin was very stiff and hard to pull she's giving me a revision but says there's absolutely no guarantee advice please
Had partial TT & augmentation/lift 3 yrs ago. Needed a revision to resolve upper abdomen skin crease/scar tissue. (Board certified) Dr didnt use a drain in revision and additional scar tissue/crease resulted in the same area. Proposed solution is to now remove scar tissue and use a drain + seprafilm to prevent adhesion and scar tissue. Researching but find no info re: use of seprafilm in plastic surgery. Would appreciate any insight as to safety/efficacy etc. of it for this purpose? Thx!
