I have a couple of questions. Do the inner anchoring stitches take longer to heal than the dissolving outer ones? Why do incisions blow apart/separate on TL and what are the usual methods of healing and how long can that take? Thanks.
I had a complex vertical thigh lift and an outer lift also about 6 weeks ago. Overall, I am very pleased! However, I am curious how long the swelling might last, and when does the tight feeling go away? Eveytime that I flex my feet or stand and walk, I have a lot of burning, tingling unpleasant feeling.
Had a thigh lift 4 weeks ago. The stitched area is around the leg line of the panty. I have had no pain till now. Today my stitch area is hurting some. On scale 1-10 irritation is 4. Is this normal? Also, I have been wearing compression garment since surgery.
Yesterday I sat at the table preparing dinner kinda tilted back with my legs up. since then I feel like my thigh Is a bit more swollen near incision particularly on the right side and feels a little more tender then left. I still have my drains & stitches. I had my 10 day follow up appt all looked good. I was putting to much fluid out to remove drains and to swollen to take stitches out. I go back Thursday morning. Sitting could I have done something or just irritated it???
How long do thigh lift outer dissolvable stitches take to dissolve? Also, my doctor advised me to clean these sutures with hydrogen peroxide, but I've read that this will cause them to lose strength. What is the best product for cleaning these outer sutures?I am 3 weeks post op; could my stitches be weakened by the hydrogen peroxide and how would I know if they have? Most importantly, will this affect the quality of my thigh lift result?
how long do the stiches stay in place with an inner thigh lift. The incision is in the groin area. Parts of it are puckered up. I understand they will flatter but the longer they stay puckered won't they stay that way??
