Though I have a good idea on what to expect I would love to have other opinions. There will be tissue & skin removal but not the lipo that is also generally associated with thigh lift. I have lost approx 300 lbs and have what Dr call a knee pannis and thigh pannis. I have also already had a panniculectomy with belly button repositioning with same Dr. My Dr is a professor of plastic surgery at a world renowned hospital so I completely trust his skills. Any added info would be most helpful
I'm a big girl who's weight has always fluctuated. I eat healthy and have been boxing for years. No matter how small I get or how low I get my BMI, my weight distribution in my inner thighs is horrible and painful.obviously a reduction in thigh size is nice, but I really feel I need something done because I spend a great deal of time in pain due to severe chafing and skin irritation. Bottom line is I need surgical intervention but was wondering how to get financial help from insurance.
I had roux n y gastric bypass 6 years ago. My lowest weight achieved was 200lbs after being a whopping 320lbs. Currently I'm 220lbs and on a journey to lose more. Since then, my thighs have become very flabby and I get consistent chaffing and itchy rashes on my inner thighs from sweating and rubbing. I'm bottom heavy and even with the weight loss and exercise, my lower body stalls in losing any weight. Thx.
I have been a yo-yo dieter and mostly overweight my whole life. My weight has been from 125 up to 380 lbs. I currently weigh about 230 lbs and still trying to lose weight. I know I will need multiple procedures as I have a lot of loose skin. But right now the excess skin on my inner thigh is bothering my groin area and was just curious if any insurance has ever covered this type of surgery?
I don't want to spend another TX summer covered up. The pics actually make me look pretty decent compared to how they really look and the constant, infections, I'm so embarrassed. I know insurance coverage isn't an option, but how about using my FSA? It just needs to be medically necessary per a Dr...right? Please advise...Oh, and while my arms look like crap too, they never get boils or anything like that. But these inner thigh issues are problematic. Thank you for your time.
