I had a TCA cross peel performed 2 months ago on my ice pick and box acne scars, the scars did raise significantly, but I'm left with hyperpigmentation particularly visible in the larger box scars. 1. What would you recommend as a treatment for this type of hyperpigmentation? Are there any topicals likely to be effective? E.g. AHA peels. 2. Would you recommend more TCA cross peels to further improve the scars or are there other modalities that are likely more effective, e.g. fraxel laser.
After 4 rounds of micro needling I still didnt see improvement to my icepick and boxcar scars on the cheek. Will TCA Cross work for my scars or is TCA peel better ? I have also tried Laser Genesis but it didnt work either. These scares on over 15 years old and Im Asian fair skin.
I have acne scars on my cheeks that have moderately improved with tca cross, a subcision and filler, profractional laser, and erbium fully ablative laser, but I still have some residual marks. They appear to be ice pick and boxcar scars. I went to a derm consult who stated that my scars did not appear tethered. She thought that another profractional laser would help. I'm wondering if you'd recommend another round of tca cross or c02 laser instead, or agree that profractional is the best route.
My doctor said that she'll be using some TCA Cross on my temple scars. Most of my scars on my temple area are deep boxcar scars. Will it help elevate the scars given my scar type? or you have any suggestion that will give me the most improvement. Thanks
Hello, I'm considering trying chemical peels to try and address shallow boxcar acne scars on my cheeks. I've read peels aren't very effective for deeper acne scars but am wondering if anyone has seen noticeable improvement for shallow scars.
is tca cross in low percentage (10-20%) effective for acne scars? (ice pick, boxcar and rolling). i'm ok with doing more sessions if the results are minimal because of the percentage but the professional i found said she only does it that way. i'm scared i'm just wasting money and time if it's not effective at all. thank you very much.
I did TCA cross and microneedling in the same day. We did 60% TCA on some of my icepick / boxcar scars. Some of them he did really well, others I'm worried he may have applied too much and it got on the healthy surrounding skin. Will this result in more scarring? A lot of what I read online said you should only apply it deep in the scar and avoid getting it on the icepick scar border. I've been keeping them moist with Aquaphor and Neosporin. Anything I can do to aid in the healing of these?
I mostly saw and read reviews that other people's scabs fell off within a week. I haven't done any TCA peel and/or cross. It's my first TCA treatment. I know everyone has different recovery. Is mine looking normal? Is 10 days and still the scabs haven't fall off, just okay?
I have been looking to get TCA cross (100%) and a lot of PS reffer you to an aethetician that works on sight. I am not sure about having someone without a medical background doing suck a procedure on my ice pick or box car scars.
I am about to receive my next TCA Peel. I was wondering if applying 20% TCA peel is good for remodelling acne scars and improving skin texture? So far I have icepick and boxcar scars around my Forehead, Temples, cheeks and around Jawbone. Can I remove enough skin from my face with TCA so that my skin is smooth?
