Facial plastic surgeons perform cosmetic and reconstructive surgery for the face, head, and neck. Training includes one or two years of post-graduate training in general surgery residency and at least four additional years of specialty training in head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery.

Cosmetic procedures offered by facial plastic surgeons

Cosmetic procedures typically performed by facial plastic surgeons include blepharoplasty/eyelid surgery, face lift, rhinoplasty, face and neck liposuction, cheek or chin augmentation, and laser skin resurfacing.
