I had FESS and a septoplasty due to chronic sinusitis of over 1 year in my left maxillary sinus. 1 week after surgery I developed an infection and eye pain, but after 3 weeks of antibiotics the infection and eye pain went away for 1 week. Now I have constant dull pain in my sinus and eye, but the doctor thinks it is nerve pain due to a clear CT scan and physical exam of the sinuses. Ive had nerve pain before and this isnt sharp or shooting - could it really be nerves?
i went to my surgeon office and he placed a camera in my nose and he said there is no sign of infection but some crusting has formed that causes bad odor and i have to rinse with salin/water solution at least 3 4 times per day.but after 5 days the problem persists.what should i do now?

I had sinus surgery three months ago because there is sinus opacification in left max sinus.now there is no opacification in the sinus and I have no allergy. I have symptoms like facial pain and pressure, ear pressure, dry air. for years, I thought it was sinusitis that disturbed me. but it seems not to be so. I could not convince the doctor that I have problems with it. he said that this can be psychological. you are very healthy. may I have atrophic rhinitis or any kind of sinusitis?

About 3 months ago, I had endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) on the maxillary sinus. I was told no nerves were cut during this surgery. However, I woke up 2 days later with numbness in my front teeth. After 4 weeks or so, I began feeling some pressure in these teeth and very mild electric shock sensations from time to time. I am worried that it has been 3 months and my teeth are still numb. The numbness seems worse in the morning.
In 2014 I had routine inferior turbinoplasties (AKA powered endoscopic turbinoplasty) which preserves the layer of mucosa that senses airflow. The doctor didn't resect the turbinates, and says that he hasn't had any patients with ENS. I don't experience any sensation of suffocating, sleep disturbances, or dry nose, but do have shallow, anxious breathing/anxiety. What is the incident rate for ENS for this procedure? I'm stuck with the negative thoughts that I've permanently damaged myself.
