i went to my surgeon office and he placed a camera in my nose and he said there is no sign of infection but some crusting has formed that causes bad odor and i have to rinse with salin/water solution at least 3 4 times per day.but after 5 days the problem persists.what should i do now?
I had ballon sinuplasty 3 weeks ago in both maxillary sinuses.I am still really congested and can't breath thru my nose. I'm taken steriods and am on antibiotics, I tried afrin one day and it still did not clear my sinus to breath. Could there still be swelling preventing drainage. Up to a couple days ago I still had dry bloody discharge. I've gone to my ent two times for follow up already.
I had a sinus surgery 3 weeks ago. It included: frontal sinus, antrum, intranasal op, Turbinates, submucus resection. Almost 3 weeks after the surgery I don't have the sneezing attacks anymore, but my nose is still very congested. My ENT says it is congested because there is still some dry blood and could take a month to clear. Has anybody had congested nose after surgery? According to the report the surgery only lasted 10 min. Can all these be done in such a short time? Any opinions on this?
I had a unilateral sinus surgery and bilateral turbinate radiofrequency 3 weeks ago. I have been rinsing my nose three times a day and I am using a nasal moisture spray three times a day although it passed three weeks and I have used all the medications properly, my nose is congested and some bloody mucus. I am afraid that my surgery is failed or am I too impatient about that? am I experiencing a poor healing or everything is normal at that period?
My surgery included turbinate reduction and a combination of balloon sinuplasty/FESS. Recovery has gone well, and my three weekly post-op debridements are complete. Between weeks two and three I began to notice a much more nasal quality to my voice. It sounds like I'm congested, when in actuality i'm less congested now than I've ever been. I do not like this new quality to my voice and I don't want to sound like this forever. Will it go away? And if so, when is that likely to happen?
