I got slaped directly in the nose about three months ago. My nose was hit from the right side and it was pushed more than 90 degrees in the other direction. since the injury the tip of my nose always seems to be pointing left even when i change direction from which the lighting is coming from and the dorsal appears bony from the front. Will my nose eventually return to its normal shape since it is made of cartilage or is this a permanent addition to the shape of my nose
I have a deviated septum I am looking to have fixed in the San Antonio area, but am curious if I could slightly lift and reduce the tip of my nose in the process since insurance will already be covering things like anesthetic for the medically necessary portion. Would this be a major cost? I attached an example of the slight change I am somewhat looking for to not drag my features down so much.
Hi there. I recently had a septoplasty after fracturing my nose (septoplasty on November 23) so a little over 5 months ago. I know that after a surgery as invasive as this one the recovery process is long but I feel as though the swelling in my nose should be less by this point. The tip of my nose is still visibly bigger and the swelling is going down on different rates on the sides of my nose. I figured by the 6 month mark things would be close to normal but its not. Is this normal?
I have a very weird congenitally crooked nose. Ive felt different. I want to get it fixed, as well as a decent breathing problem I have, but having a bulbous tip and a sizeable bump, I am wondering if my nose can be made smaller at the tip, bump lessened, and still improve breathing with the septoplasty. IIs this possible? There is a congenitally collapsed side of my nose where i could see a spreader graft being used, but mostly I think a reduction in size would suit my face best. Thank you!
Hello, I got a septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery in December 2021 to help with breathing. The surgeon stated the procedure would also straighten my nose. Overall, the procedure was a success. I am breathing far better and my nose bridge is straighter in my opinion. However, the shape of my nasal tip has been quite affected with one side noticably swollen and the overall shape being asymmetrical. Just wanted to ask if this type of swelling for this procedure is common ~11 months later.
I had a septoplasty 3 years ago, it was done using my own cartilage from the nose and it was placed on the tip of the nose. And I have been seeing redness every now and then, but it doesnt cause any pain nor breathing problem, it just gets red and it comes and go. Will it be related to the surgery? I have seen a surgeon here but I was told the nose was fine and was given antibiotics. It improved but it comes and go.
I hate breathing at night also add the tip droopy, the thin narrow nose that's long and on inspiration it conclaves further touching sides. Additionally it flares when I smile and points down... help please!
I had septolasty, sinus and turbinate surgery. ENT said he could even out my dorsal hump at same time. After swelling went down over a year ago, I have several dents on the bridge of my nose and the tip seems to have dropped. My nose looks huge when I smile. I'm got engaged and am looking to do something about my nose without breaking the bank??? I've attached a picture of what my nosecond looks like and what I'd like it to be. Thanks
