Hi doctor, thank you for your time. I had septoplasty and outfracture of inferior turbinates 8 weeks, 2 days ago. I saw my consultant 2 days ago, where i was told its healing nice, septum is straight but may have blockage of sinuses. So currently using nasonex once a day. My question is, whilst changing my little boy tonight, he flapped his arms back an hit me straight in the nose, sounded like a clicking sound, didnt really hurt an was no bleeding....just paranoia. Would this have done damage
I have had a septoplasty the 7th August and it was a success, today I've been in the pool and i hit my nose with a mask, my nose is swelling and red and the nose bridge is bigger so I applied some ice. I'm so worried cause it can stay permanent? Please give me an advice on what I have to do as soon as possible. Thank you very much
I could still breath and it didnt hurt for very long. The side I hit it on looks more bigger, but my nose still appears straight. Also, could hitting it do slight damage and not redeviate the nose, or would the only damage possible be redeviating it?
I had septoplasty surgery 4 months ago. I was in a bit of a rush day and a half ago at work and really went nose first into this cabinet (clumsy..) I bled from both nostrils and it stopped 10 minutes after. I've been bleeding slightly every since, clogging up my nose/throath and it stops and start several times throughout the day.Nose hurts slightly, not swollen but a little heavy breathing and lightheaded when it bleeds. Will this pass by itself? Thanks
A friend of mine went to lift their head as I was looking at them and the back of their head collided with mine causing my nose to bleed for about 10 minutes and I was intense pain afterwards. A day later I still have tenderness and pain and when I rinse my nose with water there's a stinging pain. Plus I think I'm developing bruising where my original deiviation was before surgery. What are the chances I'll need a second surgery to fix my nose??
I got hit by a soccer ball pretty hard straight to the face my nose started bleeding for a minute. After a week my nose looks wider. Is it because excessive swelling form the blow from the soccer ball or has it caused permanent damage. Plus I think my nose is looking a bit deviated.
I had a septoplasty and turbinate reduction at the end of December 2016. 4 weeks ago I was fixing the couch cushion and slipped and hit myself full force in the nose. Since then, I have had a lot of PND and a constant cough. I'm really worried I could have potentially messed up something but not sure if I could be overreacting. I've been taking allergy medicine for my slight allergy I have but no help.
Originally my idea was to straighten my nose since i suffered a little deviation after i was hit several years ago. Therefore i thought those injections were an option i.e with acid hialuronic however after researching i realized that septoplasty would correct the breathing (air flow) problem. Meaning i have a doubt now, if after consultation i am pointed to have the septoplasty once that done, the straightening could be accomplished with nose filling injection?
I had a septoplasty and turbinectomy 3 weeks ago and yesterday i played basketball and i got accidentally hit on the nose by the ball. It did not bleed but it hurt for a while. Today my nose feel a little bit swollen and congested than before. Will this affect the overall outcome of the surgery?
I was elbowed on accident yesterday by my sister and it hurt, now later today i have this feeling like something's stuck on the inside of my nose like a booger and its not, and its a tad be hard to breathe. I've been blowing my noise abit.
