I had major septal reconstruction and rhinoplasty to remove the hump on my nose 4 months ago. My surgeon said I was VERY deviated and that my septum was completely to one side and a 5/200 case. My nose is as hard as a rock now. My smile has not shown much improvement in the last two months. He says this is due to stiffness and NOT because of nerve/muscle cutting and that this will clear in 1 yr. Is what he is saying true? I'm very depressed because I loved my smile.
I had septoplasty surgery 4 months ago. I was in a bit of a rush day and a half ago at work and really went nose first into this cabinet (clumsy..) I bled from both nostrils and it stopped 10 minutes after. I've been bleeding slightly every since, clogging up my nose/throath and it stops and start several times throughout the day.Nose hurts slightly, not swollen but a little heavy breathing and lightheaded when it bleeds. Will this pass by itself? Thanks
My nose looks bigger and wide from the bottom than before my septoplasty surgery.i was told that my bone was also cracked and it was quite difficult for the doctor to cut the extra bone and give it a good position ..now its been 4 month of post septoplasty i have better breathing and straight nose but my nostrils are wider than before and looks big..will it go down
Hi I had a septoplasty with turbulent and adenoids removed Four months ago and it has been bothering me quite a bit I went in to see the surgeon and he said that the surgery failed basically and it needs to be redone I was a four plus and now am a two plus but was a zero right after surgery I'm really confused as to how that happened and how often it happens
About 4 months ago I had a septoplasty to help my breathing but it had no noticeable results. I recently back to my surgeon and he informed that my septum in still deviated right under the bridge of my nose and can't be straightened because my nose would lose structural support down the line. The only thing he said that can be done is a rhinoplasty with grafts to widen the nasal passages. Is there any way to straighten my septum even though the deviation is right on the bridge of my nose?
i had septoplasty back in March to correct a deviated septum. Everything went great however my nose especially the tip of my nose is still tender. its not panful just feels numb. How long should this feeling last and is it common?
I had septoplasty/turbinectomy about 4 months ago. No other surgeries involved. About a week after surgery I started breaking out- all over my entire face. Prior to surgery, I had hormonal breakouts but nothing severe. Now, The breakouts are constant, and hard to get rid of. The pores on my nose are extremely large and I have tons of blackheads. I've tried everything under the sun to control this to no avail. What could have caused this?
