My surgeon has ended his doctor to patient relationship with me. Because I was upset he performed a cauterization turbinate reduction on me while he told me he would only perform outfracture. My left turbinate doesnt chance size anymore while my right one still swells, shrinks and looks normal. My left one was obviously reduced and forms a white crust that doesnt come off easily. Forms in the same spot over and over. Nose is still dry and crusty. Is there any hope for me?
I had a septorhinoplasty about two months ago and I noticed a very tiny hole where my septum is on the inside of my right nostril (I am not sure how deep it is but it is about the size of a dot mark made by a thin pen) sometimes I notice it makes breathing more difficult when I inhale. Does a hole that size repair itself? Are there any treatments to seal it?
Hello,i had septoplasty surgery two month ago and a week after the cast was removed from my nose some bump appeared on the supratip on my nose and its still there two month after, it looks even worse to me me. Could you please tell me is this swelling or some deformity?
Hi doctor, thank you for your time. I had septoplasty and outfracture of inferior turbinates 8 weeks, 2 days ago. I saw my consultant 2 days ago, where i was told its healing nice, septum is straight but may have blockage of sinuses. So currently using nasonex once a day. My question is, whilst changing my little boy tonight, he flapped his arms back an hit me straight in the nose, sounded like a clicking sound, didnt really hurt an was no bleeding....just paranoia. Would this have done damage
My left nose still feels swelled and unnatural 7 weeks after septoplasty. Air flows are great but would this feeling of swelling goes away? I also have lots of mucus produced that seems to be trapped in the back of left nose.
Also feels like this side is now much smaller than the other side due to this scar tissue? I thought that septoplasty only involves working in the upper part of the nose? Dr says to give it time (its been 2 and a half months) already but I cant see it getting better- scarring too thick!?
I had septoplasty and bilateral turbinate reduction 8 weeks ago. When I breathe, the air feels very cold and dry (even inside a warm room) and immediately I feel air on my throat and to my lungs (cold, dry). Ive been doing rinses, using humidifier and keeping nostrils moistened but Im worried that my turbinates are not functioning properly. Also my voice is sounding nasal since the surgery even though it seems the swelling has subsided. Are these symptoms likely to balance out with more time?
Went in for septoplasty surgery to take care of difficulty breathing through my right nostril in October. Now December I am still having difficulty breathing through that nostril. When I had my last appointment with my ENT doctor a month ago and asked about the breathing he said no further surgery could be performed, that internal swelling could last a few months after the operation and that that could be partly the reason for the blockage. If it's not the swelling, can I do anything else?
I had septoplasty and turbinate reduction 2 months ago, and for the last 6 weeks or so, I feel constant phlegm at the back of my left nose (incision made this side during surgery) and above the throat and I cannot clear it. It's always there and it's annoying. It gets worse when I eat or drink. Is this still an adjusting thing from my surgery? If so would this get better in time? Or should I consult the doctor? Thank you so much.
