Ive read that its important to mix sculptra at least two days before treatment to prevent lumps. Ive also learned some world renowned docs who dont mix early. Ive heard it needs to be kept warm. Whats the truth here on mixing sculptra and preventing lumps? Also, how would one mix sculptra with prp? Thanks for taking the time to review and respond.
How is it possible that sculptra lumps can last years when Sculptra itself is supposedly dissolved anywhere from 6 months (as some doctors on Realself contend) to a maximum of 2 years as most doctors and Galderma contend?
I had sculptra for volume loss 11 months ago. There were two injectors working on me, one on each side. My left injector was done in half the time as my right injector and the results are quite different. I have lumps on both sides, but larger and more on the left. My right side has much more volume and is even overfilled in my smile line creating a bubble of skin above my jawline. I have a second treatment planned to address the unevenness, but what about the lumps?
I had Sculptra injected into my face 5 months ago. Doctor did not warn me of any possible side effects. I have autoimmune disorder and now I am learning that with patients who have autoimmune it is more likely to develop the nodules/granuloma/lumps. Two weeks ago I woke up swollen on one side of the face with hard lump under that swelling. Two days ago, the other side of my face got swollen and more hard nodules have formed. How can they be resolved? I would like to avoid steroids. Thank you
It has been more than five years since I have gotten scultpra. I went back recently and did four rounds of steroid injections. I had to stop because it gave a small dent in my face. It was thinning my skin out. I still have a the large lump under skin. Steroid broke a small piece off now I have another lump under skin. What can I do? Went to derm and he doesnt know.
Lump at injection site 10 weeks after injecting Sculptra. I have a small lump at the injection site of Sculptra. The lump isn't that bad, it feels like a spot under the surface of the skin, but when you pull the skin back you can see it more clearly. Will massaging it help? Is there anything else I can do to reverse it or stop it getting worse?
Had sculptra 10 years ago. Amazing stuff then after that was only filled with hyaluronic acid. Couldnt understand why it never lasted. Fast forward to now my doctor recommended I have sculptra for sunken cheeks as the product had changed and no problems with the new solution. I now know that must be the lumps underneath my cheekbone. Never knew what they were. How can I break them up?
I had 2 vials of Sculptra 12 days ago in my temples. I massaged 5 times a day at least as instructed. Somehow, I still managed to get one and it feels like 2 more are developing. Ive been massaging the areas firmly, but they wont go away. All of them are where my hair is so as long as they dont get big, they are not visible. Should I get more Sculptra treatments? Should I go to this injector again ( a PA working with a dr)?
I had Sculptra injected in my hands in February. I have a lump on the top of each hand, which of course, are visible. My provider started injecting Kenelog steroid to break them down. I noticed my skin lighter in the injection site due to the Kenelog and stopped that treatment. Then I had one saline injection and decide to leave the lumps alone hoping with additional massaging and time they would improve. No improvement yet.
