Had sclerotherapy done first week in Dec. Wore compression stockings for 3 weeks. At the 2 week mark or bit less, developed a blood clot an inch away from the feeder vein injection site . Had an ultrasound to confirm it. Dr in emerg said it was a superficial thrombophlebitis. Advised to use warm and cold compresses and aleve if needed. Now in the spot where blood clot was its bit red, no pain but skin is warm an tender but no real pain other than both legs feel bit achey. Wondering if I might have something wrong with my blood vessels as the bruising from sclerotherapy is still very prominent 12 /13 wks later
I am 31 year old. I had incompetent SFV and varicosity of GSV in left limb. My doc performed flush ligation and EVLT. I had surgical pains for about 4 weeks. After that I was feeling quite normal. But suddenly from last two weeks (10 weeks after surgery) I am feeling burning and warm in my entire leg. When I stand for 5 minutes there is some swell near ankle on lateral side. I went back to doctor he mentioned it has passing pain and prescribed some tablets. But I am not relieved from pain.
Had sclerotherapy on both of my legs in April this year. I was asked to stay with tight bandages for 13 days each leg. Had removed some varicose vains and spider vains. its been over 3 months now and they still look bad with dark circles.Never seen a difference they look worse now with dark colouring. Can you tell me what it is? Can you use anything to improve? Heard of Venalta pills.
I had liquid sclerotherapy on one foot done 10 weeks ago. I'm concerned the staining may not go away, as there hasn't been much improvement. Is there anything i can do to help it like massage the foot or to prevent it happening on the other foot - the compression stocking i used was a surgical one with maximum compression around the ankle, which didn't seem right to me. This time he has used a bandage with graduated compression. The first 2 pictures are before surgery, the others are after.
I had sclerotherapy on February 3rd, it is now April 20 and my legs still look like this. I went for 2 follow-up apppointments, first after two weeks which I was told to wait to see if the trapped blood would clear on its own, the second appointment three weeks after that they drained the areas and did a second treatment of sclerptherapy around the discolored areas. I'm not sure if what I am seeing now is normal or if more treatments are necessary? Thank you in advance for any information.
I had the Vnus Closure treatment 2 1/2 months ago.The last few weeks I have had large blue veins branching out from the upper front of my thighs, along the side and backs of my thighs and knees. Some behind legs are starting to bulge. Never had any veins on my thighs before Closure. What is happening?
My partner and i both agree the veins are now more promenant and i have more restriction on the skirts and dresses i can wear. Why has it done this when the promotion for this treatment says it is risk free. It was also quite painful treatment as the probe was quite hot. I have read that other people have had their veins made worse by this treatment.
