Im 18 months post op on a tummy tuck with T incision. The T is what I believe is my old belly button. This tissue is more inflammatory and responds differently to treatments than the surrounding skin and scar. An aesthetician recommended diluted kenalog injections with a conservative approach. Also recommended CO2 laser. Im wondering if excising the vertical strip of the T incision wouldnt ultimately be best for healing. appreciate any and all input!
I had a belly button revision (4/2023) from a tummy tuck (5/2022) and ended up with dark scarring and a keloid. The keloid has flattened since getting a corticosteroid shot (11/23) but I would like to see what my options are for lightening the scar. Should I consider pulsed dye laser?
Hi, I had a reverse belly button piercing 5/6 years ago which rejected. Since then this scar has been growing and its itchy and can be painful at times. Could this be removed? What would you suggest? Thanks
My first incision was from an emergency appendix removal. Secondly the incision was reopened again to remove a ovarian cyst. And thirdly from a c section from my daughter. I really just want the best opinion. So please and thanks for your time.
5'7 , 145lbs, age 45 I had the tummy-tuck in September 2021. I am heartbroken that my bellybutton was done so poorly. I will never ever wear a bikini. I hope some surgeons may have suggestions about what- if anything- can be done to fix this. Worth noting: i had one pregnancy in 2007. I experienced no stretch marks from pregnancy at all and in fact i seem to have very elastic skin. I hope my skin elasticity might somehow beca positive thing in terms of finding a solution to make my bellybutton scar much smaller in circumference.
I had a belly button piercing that rejected almost 10 year ago. It has always been an insecurity of mines. i'm hoping to get some insight on surgeries or treatments that my reduce the appearance of the scar. Thank you i'm advance!
So almost a year ago I had someone pierce my belly button and I regretted it so I took it out and left it to heal but now there are two brown spots when I pass my finger over its smooth but when you squeeze the area it's sorta hard. I saw a video on YouTube of a doctor in New York who made one incision and cut the scar tissue out and stitched it up and the patient is left with a very small white incision line --what do I do?
