Its been almost two years since Ive my sinoplasty/rhinoplasty. I still have a very bulbous tip/drooping collumela that still swells occasionally. I have thick skin but was never told to tape. Ive already gone through one round of steroid injections that gave me some temporary results. Im now seeing some bumps on my tip which I am concerned might be scar tissue. Is there anything I can do now short of revision?
Hello, I had my rhinoplasty 6 months ago, and i'm worried my nose is crooked at the tip. my nostrils are also uneven. my nose looked straighter right after cast removal, so i'm wondering if this is just swelling thats causing the asymmetry. I have medium-thick skin.
Hello, I've posted before about asymmetry that I had on my nasal bridge after rhino. This has corrected itself but now I'm wondering if these harsh lines on either side of my nose tip will soften up or is this permanent and due to the rib graft that they used? I still have a lot of swelling in my tip, 5 months post up this month.
Hi there, I'm wanting to get a rhinoplasty later this year, and I'm wondering if having fillers in my cheeks, and under eyes will affect the outcome, and if they should be dissolved beforehand? I know there could swelling and I'm wondering if that would effect the fillers in anyway?
I am a 37 y/o women who had a rhinoplasty in July of 2023. In the beginning, about a month after I had an infection and was treated with antibiotics. After everything was good and I was in love with the shape of my new nose. However, within last few months I realized that the tip dropped and it changed its shape. Plus, it has been two days I feel pulsing near the sides of my nose. You can actually see how the muscles contracts. Do I have chances that the will still change. Ils there swelling?
I had rhinoplasty done in 2019, and after that, my swelling had reduced a lot by mid-2020. Now, when I sleep, there is congestion in my nose, and it blocks my nose, due to which my swelling is increasing. If I do not sleep for 2 days, the swelling will start decreasing, but if I sleep, the swelling will increase the next day. And earlier, when I used to wake up from sleep, I used to notice less swelling. I feel very bad seeing my face, and I stay at home; I don't even go out. I feel SAD.
I had an open primary rhinoplasty four months ago to refine my tip (ps used sutures and strut graft) but it doesn't look any smaller than before. It's big, hard and even overprojected looking. My doctor said if its hard then it's still swollen. Will it eventually soften up and decrease in size? Or, should I consider a revision after it's done healing? It's hard to beleive that my tip is 40% still swollen.
I had a rhinoplasty 2 weeks ago. when the splint came of it looked lovely and thin but went alot wider in just two days. I also still have a bit of a hump on the bridge. is this just swelling and will it go down? I don't know if bones swell and if the hump will go? Please help! My nose hardly looks any different at the moment and i am really dissapointed. Will it continue to improve?
I had Rhinoplasty to "straighten" my nose. I just got my cast off and it is clearly not straight. If a nose looks crooked when the cast is removed one week after rhinoplasty, does that necessarily mean that the nose will be crooked when the swelling is gone? Or could it just mean that the swelling is uneven? I just pray that when the swelling finally goes away that it will reveal a straighter nose than what I am seeing now.
