Hello, I have done rhinoplasty with rib cartilage grafting 8 months ago, the doctor removed the cartilage from the 5th rib partially. And now, after 8 months, I still can't sleep on my right side and I have pain during activity, and by contracting the right pectoral muscle, I get neuralgia and stiffness of the trapezius on the same side. What do you think is the problem?

Hi, I am 26 year old female and i had a consultation with a doctor who wanted to use a strut in my nose to bring tip support. But as understood by patients who had a strut , it makes the nose stiff as well as less dynamic and sometimes you feel it.Heceforth , i dont want to get this strut. What other things can be done to support the tip of a thick skin nose? I have a bit of a hanging columella and would hate the stiff sharp look a strut provides.
Hi, I had an open septo-rhinoplasty in November 2020, with a significant amount of tip reconstruction. Now, ten months later, I still have a stiffness and tenderness to my nose, especially within the tip region. There is still a substantial amount of edema that persists, and I know this by how my nose appears in the morning versus at night. There is a stark contrast in terms of its size. At this point, should I still consider having a steroid injection? Or will it be ineffective?
I had my surgery in June 2018 and was told by my surgeon that it would take 2 years to see the final results due to my thick oily skin. I am overall pretty happy with my results but my columella is stiff and droopy. The surface of the tip also appears a little uneven in some photos. I was wondering if this would improve anymore in the next year and if anything could be done to speed up the process e.g. steroid injections?
I had a closed rhinoplasty to remove a hump. My nose tip is stiff and looks like it's somewhat hanging up which is making my nostrils appear a bit lengthened. I was assured that my front view would look exactly the same after the surgery and that my surgeron didn't touch my tip at all. No grafts or anything. Will my tip settle to how it used to look once my swelling goes down? Am I worrying for no reason? I've been stressing out about not looking the same even though my surgeron said I would.
I am a UK 39 Yrs old man and just had open rhinoplasty 2 weeks ago. All my swelling seems to have gone, but the tip/bottom half of nose is round and fat and doesn't seem to match the top half. The tip feels a little stiff/stingly and all the posts say the the tip is swollen the longest. Is this the case after all the other swelling has gone. If so does the tip change quite a bit once the swelling has subsided or are these changes minute so you can't see them. I am so worried it won't, pls help?
Hi doctors, I am 18 days post septorhinoplasty and I am feeling that my nose is very hard and stiff. I am wanting to know if my nose will soften over time and feel like a normal nose again? I had a netball accident 2 years ago which created a large bump on my nose and deviated my septum, I therefore had a septorhinoplasty performed to remove the bump and straighten my nose as well as removing some cartilage to refine. My ENT doc thinks that the stiffness and hardness can sometimes be indefinite?
I understand I am still swollen which contributed to a hard nose tip. But Im curious if my nose will ever feel like a natural nose again. In my operative report it states: to support the tip 2cm x 1 cm strut graft was placed between the medial crura and the cadual septum using sutures. Does this mean that my tip will always feel somewhat hard/stiff? Or will I be able to squish it down as you can squish down a natural nose?
