I had my rhinoplasty done on 9/13/2021, the tip of my nose is still very hard and sensitive to touch. The bridge between the nostrils is also very sensitive and bothers me a lot when touching it. When wearing a mask it bothers my nose and causes a headache. Is this still normal for this long to have these issues?
I am planning to have septo- rhinoplasty surgery. I also have a severe reaction/sensitivity to epinephrine, I've had cardiac events/passed out when it was disregarded, or when I didn't ask the doctor what the ingredients are in the numbing cream/shot. I need to know the medical term for this condition. Every time I am asked what I am allergic to, the doctors dismiss it. So, is it necessary to use epinephrine for septo- rhinoplasty surgery?
I got a rhinoplasty done in September 2021, so 9 months ago. I know that swelling can last quite long, but Im worried this isnt swelling. Theres this weird bump on the right side of my nose. When I touch it, it tingles and is a bit sensitive, but feels quite hard. I am considering going to my surgeon, but wanted to see what others have to say. I didnt have this before the rhinoplasty and it makes my nose look crooked. After surgery it was straight aswell
Hello, I am now almost 8 months post op from rhinoplasty. I have a callus forming on my left bridge that hurts to the touch, and the tip is still very swollen and hard. I accidentally pushed my nose putting makeup on and it was uncomfortable. It feels, at 8 months post op, that I am so far behind in the healing process than is to be expected. I never touch my nose for fear of causing problems or pain, but even small touches are not comfortable. How long can I expect to be this fragile?
I had rhinoplasty 3 years ago and can feel a lengthwise seam on the bridge that is still a little sensitive. I had a dorsal hump on the left side removed (had formed when I broke my nose 2o years ago) and this seam is more on the left side. At times I've felt pressure on the bridge of my nose - are the bones still healing? A small ridge developed on the right side. Is this all normal?
4 years post-op, I still feel pinching on one side of my bridge 24/7. If I touch my finger to that area, it is very sensitive. It seems there is a lack of bone/cartilage there in comparison to the other side of my bridge. If I lie in bed on the side opposite to my pinched bridge, I feel gravity pressing on the bridge, and it makes me hesitant to sleep on that side. Is my nose still not settled? Is there anything I can do to prevent MORE caving in? Would fillers help? Is bloodflow affected?
I was punched in the face by a security gaurd 11 days ago. I had a nice red mark across the bridge of my nose for almost a week. The bridge and the right side of it was very sensitive any time I touched it. After about a week the swelling went down and I could feel the bump on the bridge which is still very tender. I dont hear anything crack if I try and move it a little. Is this normal for a badly bruised nose or is there something more I should have looked at?
I recently had a rhinoplasty on 10/5/2017. Ever since then, after the stints were removed, my front teeth have been super sensitive. Especially if I go to rub my nose (due to it itching) or if I accidentally twitch my nose. Its not a pain, its just super sensitive, and I don't know if its also because my top lip couldn't connect to my bottom lip, for about a week and a half after surgery, due to bleeding and drip pads, so the air made them that way or not but wanted to ask to be sure.
The other day, I noticed a blue stitch on the inside tip of my nose. I kept touching it and pulled a bit of the stitch out thinking I could remove it but when I pulled it, the other side of my nose felt pulled on so I stopped. It's now been several days and my nose feels sensitive and it feels like it's getting infected. Is this dangerous since I assume this is somewhere in the cartilage? Freaking out a bit, especially since it has been over 5 years that this has been in my nose.
Trying to clean my nose 6 weeks after surgery and seems like some spots are sensitive. I really do think it could be the crust and blood has dried up along the septum and towards nostril. When trying to break at the crusts gently with a qtip I experience a small sharp pain. Is it possible that these crusts and scabs can cause a slight pain when trying to move/ break them? Thanks for your honesty I really would just like to reassure my self even though this may not be a serious question to some.
