I had a lot of trauma in the tip and columella area that caused my nose to turn upward and become wider than it already was before. And retracted columella. Also had nasal trauma injury where I had a hard pull to my nose and seemed to cause a bit of saddle nose worse than I already had and footplates poke out more now. Is it possible to pull the columella as far as the picture below and suture it to be pulled together more? I would like to keep my bump and the roundness since I am mixed w black!
I travelled to Trkiye last year to get a rhinoplasty. I had a very bulbous nose and thick skin. The doctors and clinic assistants said that results can take up to 24 months but Im getting concerned as one side appears to look like a saddle nose deformity. Ive been to a doctor a few weeks ago to check up my nose but she said there are no holes or serious structural damage.
had a review with my surgeon last month but hadn't really noticed it then. At review had a steroid injection right side due to scar tissue/inflammation. My nose post surgery had looked relatively straight (pic uploaded) but I am not sure if that was because of swelling/inflam and now that has reduced the dip is more noticeable? My surgeon looked up my nose at review and said it looked ok and breathing is fine. Appreciate opinions and advice on this, have also contacted my surgeon :)
Hi, I underwent a septorhinoplasty and the surgeon lowered the bridge of my nose without my knowledge. He also shortened my nose and resected cartilage from the lower tip. The nose is now short, paradoxically wide despite narrowing the bridge with bulbous tip and unnatural round nostrils. I wonder what could be done to improve it. He also doubled my septum so its very hard and unpleasant. I am thinking about filler to the bridge to mask the tip but worry about its migration. Thoughts? Thanks!
I had the following surgeries together to restore my breathing, deviated septum, and reduce a hump after having suffered injuries to my nose years prior: septorhinopasty, nasal valve repair, turbinate reduction. The surgery took 7.5 hours and there were mentions of a fracture at the L-strut and a keystone disruption at the time of surgery. I'm not sure what this means. The complications that I have/had following surgery include hematoma, synechia L+, narrowed airways, deviated septum.
I have a bump on my nose followed by a sort of scooped out depression in the bottom half, towards the tip. When researching rhinoplasty I found out that this is known as saddle nose and that I might have developed this when I broke my nose as a child. I would like to reduce the bump and refine the tip of the nose, maybe turning it up a bit or shortening it. Is this a complex case that requires someone extremely experienced? I have attached two photos from two different angles. Thank you!
I had surgery over 2 years ago but I feel something doesnt look right with my nose I have a slight depression just above the tip & the left side looks a bit strange. I also notice that when I breathe in my left nostril kind of sucks in.
Hi, I'm over 5 months post-op and my nose has dipped much lower than it was supposed to settle. I believe I have a saddle-nose deformity now because my doctor left me with too little septal cartilage. He claims he did 10 mm and that is what he always does but it definitely did not work for me. Attached is my before, morph, me on the table, and me currently. I recently got filler to fix the dip but do I need to worry about my nose getting worse and causing problems in the future?
It appears that i have formed a Saddle Nose deformity after a surgery to repair deviated septum following a trauma accident. I don't really care as much about the red scarring as I do the structural damage. What exactly will it take as far as surgery to correct this issue? Costs and whether insurance will cover any are my primary concern. Thanks a lot.
