I pierced my septum multiple times in the medial and middle crus area?! Based on the picture of the circled trauma areas. The before pic is days after I pierced it the first time and let it heal, all was well. Then I pierced it another 3-4 times with only a week to let heal. Took it out again and everyday less cartilage seemed to be there or maybe detached? Scar tissue? Now my nose looks wider, shorter, retracted and pushed up. Plutrum is also longer. Can my nose be pulled back down to normal?
I tried to pierce my septum multiple times in the span of a month without thinking of real consequences, I know. It was fine at first but then I pierced higher up in cartilage twice and then I took it out, was still in tact, but once it started to heal day by day, the bottom cartilage of my nose tip and columella seems to retract, but also detach the cartilage and cause my nose to become wider and appear a lot shorter. Also seems deviated. Nostrils show more and are less round and more oval now.
I really want to get work done on my columella as one side is slightly lower down than the other side, this results in my entire nose looking wonky and off centered and its something Ive struggled with for a while now, I want to get the surgery once Ive moved maybe in November, December? But I would just like to know if a septum piercing and two nostril piercings will ruin my chances of surgery and if I should wait until after the surgery?
I am considering a rhinoplasty to get nostril reduction, tip de-rotation, thinning on nose bridge and bulbous tip reduction. How long after the procedure will I be able to : 1) Blow my nose 2) Wear a VR headset 3) Get a facial 4) Eat spicy and crunchy food 5) Fly in a plane 6) Get a nose piercing 7) Make love 8) Kiss
I'm almost 20 i haven't had anymore surgeries for years. I assume they're done with my mouth & I haven't had any problems. I want a tongue piercing and a septum or regular nose piercing. But I want to make sure i wont have problems. I believe I've had all the surgeries needed. It's been more than two years and i haven't heard anything from doctors saying i need more.
I fractured my nose 17 years ago and ever since then I had this little cracking noise sometimes when i moved my nose. Over the last year, the cracking has gotten much worse, every time i touch or move my nose I hear a pop of a crack. I have not injured my nose again but I did get a nostril piercing, which is a kind of injury i suppose. IEven though i experience no pain, should i see an ENT ? Could my nose piercing have caused problems because of my history with fracture? Thank you!
I had a nose piercing since August, and I just took it out because I noticed I developed a bump on the inside of my nose (it was fine before but I have been messing around/ trying to change it recently which I think caused it). Hopefully it will go away now the piercing is out but if it does not can I still get rhinoplasty in May? Also does this mean I am more likely to develop scar tissue post-rhino?
Please view the picture. I read that it's not allowed to wear metal (piercings) during a surgery, because cautery is used to stop bleeding and apparently the piercings could cause metal burns, if they're not removed. I have a surface piercing, with a 90 degree titanium bar under my skin. It's impossible to put the piercing back in after removal. So I was wondering, could I keep it in during my rhinoplasty, and put some tape over it? Or do I have to remove it?
