I had double jaw surgery 15 months ago and it changed my nose. I already had a tiny nose but now its wider, slightly upturned and shows more nostril. I feel like it throws off the balance of my face but not sure if i just have to get used to it? My philtrum appears longer now but when i look at before and after jaw surgery, it seems its my nose thats mostly the issue. I dont think im a good candidate for a lip lift to shorten philtrum length because of the angle of my nose. Thoughts?
I had rhinoplasty in Turkey on July 11th - iI asked my surgeon to raise Philtrum, refine tip, narrow nostrils and de-project. All of which he said was possible. I did NOT want him to up-turn the tip. I know its normally done and will drop after healing but 6/7 months on, it still looks upturned and projected, just with a much lower bridge. I look wider and less defined from the front now than it did before. Photos attached before/ expectations / after for reference
Hi. Im a 24 year old female. I have a concern about my nose. I feel like the tip of my nose is too close to the base of my nose, almost as if its touching. Also i believe i have a very small nose, and I have a large philtrum, and very thin lips. Will this cause issues as I age? What type of nose is this? Can th tip be made bigger? Also can the philtrum be reduced?
27F, no previous history of any treatments, surgery, etc. I've always had this extra bit of what feels like cartilage where the bottom of my nose meets the philtrum/upper lip area. Since it doesn't touch the main parts of a rhinoplasty and it's such a small area, I'm wondering if there's a relatively simple solution for it and what a cost and recovery expectation might be. Thank you!
I don't want a lip lift (I like my lips) and plan on getting a rhinoplasty that involves tip augmentation for a bulbous tip. I'm worried this surgery will add some length from the Philtrum. Especially because I think it will be a little longer after I get lefort 1 surgery for my recessed premaxilla and bite issues that are hurting my jaw. I am okay with the length of my Philtrum right now and If it got any longer I would be very upset. Can a bone graft rhino move the nose down a mm or so if need
I already have a decent nose to begin with, so I only wish for more of a slope to it as it is currently straight, which makes it seem a bit masculine, and I also wish for a smaller nose tip. I doubt my nose tip would have to be raised as my nose is already upturned, but I've heard rhinoplasty can lengthen the philtrum, in which case, should I do rhinoplasty first and then a lip lift? Or vice versa in case my lip lift stitches affect how my nostrils look, as I've heard can be the case?
