Its been 9 months since rhinoplasty and the tip of my nose and collumella is still hard. Is that the reason when i smile it look like i habe hanging collumella and when ii have straight face it looks good. Will it get flatter as it gets softer over time or will i need revsion to fix it?? ALSO does edema effect collumella ?? IF i derorate my tip will it fix it ?? Without having to cut my collumella? my collumella looks like that only when i smile in pic Its all stressing me out thank you
I had got rhinoplasty operation by my nose 5 years ago.Doctor said that he made added caritlage to my nose tip which is between my eyes by my own cartilage which he cut out by my own nose.
I underwent rhinoplasty 18 months ago. At 6 mo follow-up, received steroid injection for persistent tip edema. As swelling has diminished, asymmetry, dent, and raised area have appeared. When I asked about revision, my surgeon told me that voluma injection will fix all of this and have a permanent effect. How would you approach this? Would you offer revision?
Hi, I had an open septo-rhinoplasty in November 2020, with a significant amount of tip reconstruction. Now, ten months later, I still have a stiffness and tenderness to my nose, especially within the tip region. There is still a substantial amount of edema that persists, and I know this by how my nose appears in the morning versus at night. There is a stark contrast in terms of its size. At this point, should I still consider having a steroid injection? Or will it be ineffective?
I am 5m post primary rhinoplasty. Breathing through one nostril is 50% obstructed. Directly after surgery there was a small lump, which probably was a small hematoma which wasn't drained. Now there is a stiff bulge right below the place where you can see the scar, parallel to lateral crus. The wall is sagging because of it. My surgeon prescribed 3 rounds of steroid injections to deal with edema and fibrosis. Can it be that UCL strut could ve been placed unilaterally and caused the bulging?
4 months after rhinoplasty I do not like the type of my nose. Is it possible with time to improve its appearance? I have more skin around my eyes, which looks like it's cracked. I have a lump to the right that is rigid to the touch if it's edema or not? Is there hope for improvement or will need a re-operation.
My nose started to look swollen 4 weeks after the surgery... it doesn't hurt nor tender but when I touch the end of it where the implant ends it feels like there is fluid... I bumped the tip a couple of days ago... I'm thinking it's edema.., fluid accumulating... I did the nose job in Vietnam so I can't really call my surgeon... I need help I'm going to see my family physician tomorrow to get it looked at
Hi Guys!! I had Alarplasty plus tip plasty in October 2016/ going on 4 mnths ago. Results Fluctuate via my menstrual cycle ( I get edema nose swelling) or if im too hot/ hard core exercise or/and eat ANY type of salt/sodium! Thus, I have avoided hard core exercise/salt/heat and eat basically alkaline green diet( im hungry lol) Anywho...My surgery was done in NJ and I live in St. Louis My question is can I go to a surgeon here to get a steroid shot on one side? I cant get to my original surgeon
Im 45 days after primary septorhinoplasty, open approach. Tip was refined and an alarplasty was done. One side is fuller on the alar crease area and the other has an ident. Doctor said it is probably edema as nothing was done on this particular area. Will it even out? Doctor also mentioned having performed LLC cartilage turnover instead of ressection. PS: I actually prefer the fuller side because it looks more natural to me.
Dear Drs, I had rhinoplasty with osteotomy (so ecpected lots of swelling) a week ago. The edema has moved from my cheeks to my neck and I have lost all definition in my jawline. Is this normal? My nose tip also looks very bulbous whilst the rest of my nose seems less swollen. Is this all normal? Thank you
