I had a rhinoplasty around 6 months ago, and a few days ago I noticed a circular dent on my nostril. I have also been very dry in that area before the scar appeared so I dont know if Im dealing with some sort of infection (staph infection?) or if Ive simply just gotten a scar from maybe scratching that area. I've had some strange excessive discharge from my nose too for some time, its clear and slimy. I started noticing it after a recent flue so I dont know if its related to the dent.
I had a rhinoplasty last year. I noted a bump on the top bridge of my nose early on and was told it is most likely swelling. I went for a follow up yesterday and showed my surgeon the bump. He said my skin is thin and tightened up quickly. He said fillers can fix the issue. I am so upset because I dont want fillers for the rest of my life. Is this common? Are fillers my best option at this point?
I'm currently 10 months post op septorhinoplasty. I've been worried that I have a polybeak deformity, but my surgeon has not suggested or advised taping or steroid injections. I have this dent in the bridge area, its quite visible in pictures with flash, almost looks like a vertical line going across my bridge. Any advice as to what I can do? I have before and after pics for reference
I had rhinoplasty 6 months ago and was not satisfied right from the start. The bridge of my nose has already had a visible dent on the right side after the cast came off and now, as the swelling subsides, it seems only to become worse. A few days ago, the area right above the supratip started to feel and look a bit bumpy, which is pretty worrying to me. It feels hard as bone, so I doubt that it's swelling. Is it still possible for a lasting bump to form at this stage?
Im almost 14 months post op and ive seen this weird orange discoloration on my tip before, but now its gettinf worse and its red ans visible now from the front view. Smetimes its more of a verticale line, and its where there is a dent in the cartilage. Its also next to a scar where skin was probably torn. I hav thin skin. Is my skin quality going downhill? My surgeon hasnt been helpful and im scared it will only get worse..
Ive had a deep dent on one nostril for several months now (currently 9months post op). I thought the other side was just swollen but it hasnt gone down and even the swollen side looks better. The dent is more obvious under a light where it creates an obvious shadow. Also, tip is looking slightly droopy and pointy. Is that just swelling? Looks different than the few months post op.
Hello, I have old permanent dents on both sides of my nose that I want to fix, could it be fixed through cartilage grafts with local anesthesia? I dont wanna use fillers for the rest of my life Im looking for a permanent solution and thanks.
About 7 months ago I sustained an injury to my nose leaving it broken. At the time of the injury, it was swollen and I had two black eyes. When I went to an ENT about a week later, he told me it was a non-displaced fracture, and that I didn't need to have anything done. But as time passed and the swelling went down I noticed that my nose looked crooked. The left side feels dented and the right side is protruding. Is rhinoplasty the only way to correct my nose now? Will insurance
