I have a lot of sinus issues and lots of congestion issues. My facial plastic surgeon who does my massater Botox told me I would be a good candidate for rhinoplasty due to these issues. But, I do not have a deviated septum. So my question is, is my nose too wide for my face? He said he could give a more feminine nose and it would make my features look more feminine
40 yo male, septo-rhinoplasty 2 years ago with turbinoplasty on left and turbinectomy on right of inferior turbinates. Primary issue has been right nostril with congestion and blockage day/night. During the day, somewhat better, use saline rinses/nasal dilator. Night time, nothing helps, right nostril is completely blocked 4 hours into sleep significantly affecting quality of sleep. Could above scenerio be a combo issue with turbinate and inner nasal valve? What would the remedy entail?
I had a rhinoplasty done in 2019 and ever since the procedure, i have had a permanent stuffy nose. I am now a loud breather and sometimes have to breathe through my mouth cause my nostrils are so clogged. I am perfectly healthy but my nose is just clogged up. It feels like the insides of my nose are swolen and wont let air in. I dont know what to do about it and just want to breathe normally again.
I think I have sinus issues as a result of the asymmetry as well, always have seemed to have congestion and post nasal dripping on left side only. Cosmetically I have always hated my nose shape and size for my overall face, as well as how crooked it is. Would there be a way to improve both functional and cosmetic issues at the same time, and would it be a very complicated and costly rhinoplasty?
ENT told me I have a deviated septum and I need surgery when I went in with congestion. I really don't want surgery on my nose but he's saying problem won't go away if I don't. Will this change my nose and is surgery under general anesthesia/painful?
I had double jaw surgery to correct an underbite. This resulted in making it harder for me to breathe. Above the tip if my nose feels constantly congested. I read somewhere that double jaw surgery damages the nasal septum cartilage. I was also wondering if insurance would cover to fix this issue?
I have had septorhinoplasty 24 days ago . I cannot breathe through my nose at all.Right nostril is completely blocked and i can see the tissue blocking my nasal cavity when i look inside my nostrils.Left nostril is constantly congested despite using saline nasal drops.Im very irritated, i cant sleep at all and breathing through mouth has become intolerable for me.I mentioned this to my surgeon and he didnt take it seriously. Is this normal or should i see anothor doctor?
I got a rhinoplasty in January overseas, now its april and my nose has been blocked ever since. They said it would heal within 2 months. I also use decongestant spray to mildly relieve the congestion. Would I need another surgery to open up my nasal passages?
