I had (failed) revision rhinoplasty 6 months ago and had a smell almost straight away after. The smell is now so strong and gets worse if i move the nose eg wrinkling the nose or moving when washing my face. Recently its been super strong at night and even waking me up. Its a really really horrible, foul smell, particularly in one side. Had 2 courses of antibiotics and its still here. Im desperate for a solution.
I am a 37 y/o women who had a rhinoplasty in July of 2023. In the beginning, about a month after I had an infection and was treated with antibiotics. After everything was good and I was in love with the shape of my new nose. However, within last few months I realized that the tip dropped and it changed its shape. Plus, it has been two days I feel pulsing near the sides of my nose. You can actually see how the muscles contracts. Do I have chances that the will still change. Ils there swelling?
About 7 months ago I developed what I thought was just a blemish on the inside of my left nostril. I was concerned with the location of the blemish so I visited my dermatologist who ended up putting me on a antibiotic. The blemish seemed too be getting better but then returned even worse and more painful. I decided to pop it too release some pressure but it ended up causeing a large gap in my nostril. Will this heal on its own? If not, what can I do to fix this? Thanks so much!
So I have a pimple in my gum on my bottom right molar from an infection but my Rhinoplasty is in a week! Should I just take antibiotics and be okay to undergo surgery? Please advise! The rhinoplasty is in another country so its not like I can reschedule.
Is a prescribed course of antibiotics standard after rhinoplasty? I have my procedure scheduled for later this month, and was just informed of the requirement to take Keflex for 7 days after the surgery. I generally react poorly to antibiotics with effects lingering for weeks to months after (weight gain, bloating, sluggish metabolism, fatigue, etc). Wondering if there is an alternative approach. I had rhinoplasty on the 8 of March and 2 weeks after I have pus coming out from my left nostril. Ive gone to the doctor back home and they gave me antibiotic.. Ive just completed it yesterday but the pus is still coming and Im just scared now and need advise is the nose infected and is the pus ever going to go away. Ps rib cartilage was taken and used for the bridge of my nose
I had a rhinoplasty 2 months ago and pretty much the whole time Ive had this rotting flesh smell only on one side. Just makes me nervous because Ive had an impetigo/staph breakout as a kid and needed antibiotics to keep it from creeping up into sinuses and further. I have no other symptoms though like fever or pus etc.
Hi! I am 2 mons rhinoplasty post op. My nose before was fine and thinner. But 2 days ago it started to become red and swell. My suspects are 1) because I massage it very hard that's why it started to swell. 2) because of the kojic soap I use and exposed it to sun. 3) Or the make up brushes I use?? Infected?? If it is, I dont feel anything. My doctor is really hard to reach because of busy scheds. We will meet in 3 days. He asked me to take antibiotics for 7 days. Please I need an honest answer.
I had my cast taken off today, one week post rhinoplasty, and I was shocked by what I saw in the mirror. My nose looks doubled the size it was before! I am horrified and so miserable. Ive not seen anyone elses after photos that look as awful as mine. I also developed an infection where my stitches are and am now on anti biotics. Something just doesnt seem right :(. Is there anyway I can reduce the swelling? Does something seem off about this ? Thanks in advance
