Hi, I was hoping to get your advice. I have a rhinoplasty coming up. This will be done with twilight sedation. The doctor had instructed no alcohol 7 before procedure. I went to a work dinner and had 1 1/2margarita. This was 6 days before surgery. I absolutely forgot and now Im scared my dr will cancel my surgery. Should I tell him? And also have is one drink 6 days before instead of 7? For the note I never ever drink. Thanks
When am i able to drink heavy amounts of alcohol after rhinkplasty? i have seen 100 answers all over the internet sayinf completely different things. Will drinking alcohol weeks after a rhinoplasty cause my nose to swell and look different while im out? I need a proper answer please as i am interested in going out few weeks after to a social event after rhinoplasty which will involve me to drink a large amount. By the way i am a healthy adult and 18 years old if thay helps
My nose looks awful when i dont smoke, there is groove on one side where the skin sinks in the open roof and i have an uneven and bifid tip since my rhinoplasty. But when I smoke or drink my nose looks a lot better because there is some swelling. Will this happen for all my life or will at some point my nose stop swelling when i smoke or drink? I dont want my skin to shrink wrap even more and like it so much better with swelling that covers all the imperfctions..
After a month or two will it make much difference to how quickly swelling in the tip resolves long term if once or twice a week is a high sodium day? Will alcohol also prolong how quickly swelling takes to fully dissipate? Thank you for your help
I had my rhinoplasty exactly 3 weeks ago today. I'm not in a hurry to drink, but out of curiosity, when can I have alcohol? My birthday is in 4 months and I'd like to drink a few beers. If this is a factor, the type of rhinoplasty I had was a masculinization rhinoplasty with implant for the bridge and tip development.
It was better couple of weeks ago, but I had few days when I drunk some red wine (I'd say two glasses of wine for 5 days) and my nose got bigger and I've got more swelling especially around tip. is out possible that my nose reacts to red wine? Also I noticed when I clean (blow) my nose in the morning I see some red blood clot like things. Shall I be concerned? No alcohol for me until healing process ends?
My nose splint was removed on the 7th day and for the most part the bleeding/dripping in the nose had subsided. I was off all pain meds as well. I had a few alcoholic beverages on the 8th day. Would this permanently damage the recovery at this stage?
I had a Rhinoplasty 5 and a half weeks ago as well as a nasal graft placed. I was wondering if having 5 beers or a bottle of wine would have terrible affects on my surgery. I know that it will increase swelling, but I am just wondering if it will ruin the surgery I had done and cause me to have another surgery to repair it. I've been drinking/socializing with my friends a few times already and had a fair amount to drink: 5 beers is my maximum. I haven't fallen or done any physical harm to my nose.
