Hello, I have done rhinoplasty with rib cartilage grafting 8 months ago, the doctor removed the cartilage from the 5th rib partially. And now, after 8 months, I still can't sleep on my right side and I have pain during activity, and by contracting the right pectoral muscle, I get neuralgia and stiffness of the trapezius on the same side. What do you think is the problem?
I had rhinoplasty done 8 months ago. I had the length of my nose shortened by 8mm. My nose was never wide, just long but now it is really wide and looks worse when I smile. Can I do anything to reduce swelling this far out since surgery? I also have very thick/greasy skin. How long should I allow before looking at revision rhinoplasty?
Hello, I am nearly 8 months post op, nose looks good - though I am hoping itll continue to improve as I have thick skin. However, when I lightly touch under tip of my nose on the right side I feel sort of a tingling feeling that spreads upwards and inside. No such feeling on the left side. It persists since the surgery, I just assumed it was part of the healing process but Im getting concerned as it hasnt resolved yet. Feels a bit like pulling on a thread. What could that be?
Eight months ago I received primary rhinoplasty for a deviated septum/crooked nose. The surgeon straightened my nose and removed my dorsal hump. When he took off the cast I was very unhappy with what I saw. I had lost almost all definition in my previously well defined tip and something just looked off about my entire nose. Whenever I looked in the mirror all I could see was the tip of the nose sticking out. No bridge definition and no brow-tip aesthetic line. Do I Have an Inverted-V Deformity?
Hello, I had a septorhinoplasty 8 months ago in my home-country. I corrected the septum, but since then I have had problems with mucus, difficulty breathing. CT Scan showed mild symptoms of sinusitis and no irregularities in nose structures or bones. I have been seen by 2 ENT-s in Toronto and no solution at all besides the saline & steroid spray. I am also having issues with ears now. What should be the diagnosis? Thanks.
Hello! I am 8 months postop. I had asymmetrical swelling right after cast removal which I thought will go down with time, however I am starting to feel less satisfied. One side of my nose is caving in and it is starting to affect my breathing.. Does this look like mid vault collapse? Can you tell if I am going to develop bilateral vault collapse? Are graft surgeries safe? What are other alternatives for surgery? Thank you in advanve
I had my surgery Sept 22 (Rhino and Septoplasty) so Im currently about 8 months post op. Really happy with my side profile but from the front when I smile my columella feels quite stiff and I get a crease between my nose and lip. I also feel like my nostrils end up higher than my columella. I have noticed that my nose has changed quite abit lately so Im wondering if this may be due to swelling and if the columella takes longer to soften especially after having septoplasty? When I first came
It's been 8months post Op Rhinoplasty and my nose has a bump on the bridge and I'm having breathing issues. Is this normal? I went to my doctor many times and he has injected me steroid and fillers but they never last. My nose still looks like this. It hasn't made any improvement. On my last appointment he told me to wait the full year... not sure if I should start looking for another doctor or wait it out. If you can please help and advised me what I should do.
I had a rhinoplasty 8 months ago and feel that the tip of my nose is still quite swollen. If I tape my nose overnight though, my nose looks much more defined in the morning. Is this a temporary result due to manipulation of cartilage and skin or is it due to the swelling being subsided temporarily? Thank you
Hello, I had rhinoplasty 8 months ago and there are a few things that I am still not happy with. Since the cast came off, I noticed I still had a bump on my nose, which is still there after 8 months. One side of my nose looks different than the other, one is more defined, the other not at all. My bridge is still crooked and the inside of my nose seems to be full of bumps, especially the left side. Whenever I ask my surgeon, he just tells me that I should be patient. Can my nose still change? Ty
