I had Rhinoplasty to "straighten" my nose. I just got my cast off and it is clearly not straight. If a nose looks crooked when the cast is removed one week after rhinoplasty, does that necessarily mean that the nose will be crooked when the swelling is gone? Or could it just mean that the swelling is uneven? I just pray that when the swelling finally goes away that it will reveal a straighter nose than what I am seeing now.
Is it strange that my doctor did not remove my cast a week later ( his nurse did) and didnt see me till 6 weeks later for the first time after surgery? My nose has not turned out well and im close to a year post op. I am thinking back on all the red flags before and after surgery and am realizing that he did not remove my cast or speak to me. I thought it was routine but none of my friends had that experience. No photos either.
Sir my name is Deepak. I recently a surgery to improve my nasal airway. I was treated for DNS and turbinate hypertrophy.Well there is no deviation now but I can still see the turbinate. My question is will it heal and of normal size or should I talk to my doctor and undergo another surgery. The surgery was done 1 week ago
Hi, I had a nose reduction surgery 9 days ago and I'm a bodybuilder! Today I felt like I needed to workout and I went to the gym and worked out with really light weight, like 17 bicep curls. And now my nose feels a lil different. I think i might be exaggerating? They told me to stop lifting for like a month and I couldn't lift more than 5 pounds. But I cant help it, I love working out. :(
Im on 9 days Post Op. Im worried that the left nostril wont close. And it has this yellow/white something inside. I clean it 2x a day with PNSS and Put a bit of Fucidin 2% everytime after cleaning. Im so worried that it might get worse. I told the surgeon about it and he said that it will heal by itself. But im still worried that it'll be left open or infect the whole nose. I cant sleep because of this. Please advise. :(
I had a septorhinoplasty, 1 week post op I had the inner tube and outer cast removal. The force he used when vacuuming my nasal passages was horrific. Traumatizing to say the least. The cast was removed he said I had an uncomplicated surgery, said come see him in one month then left the room. I was still laying flat on the table! He did not show me my nose, allow me to ask questions. Is this normal??? Even when you wax your eyebrows they hand you a mirror to see and discuss the results.
I had a tip Rhinoplasty on 2/27/09, and while I was cleaning my nose on the right side today (around a week after surgery), I pulled out my dissolvable stitch, thinking it was hair. Will this affect my long term result? How long does it take for dissolvable stiches to dissolve? Will my right nostril be uneven because of this? Thank you!
I am currently 9 days post op. I naturally have a lot of swelling that needs to resolve itself. Right now I feel like my columella was lifted too high. I don't like that I have a flat appearance to the bottom of my nose. I'm wondering if the columella will drop as healing goes on? Thank you!
I had my septorhinoplasty operation one week ago and have had the cast removed today. I understand at one week the week tip of the nose and nose will be swollen from the surgery. From a side profile my nose does not look straight towards the tip of my nose. Is this due to the swelling of the tip and is this likely to reduce as the swelling does in a couple of months, or is this likely to be the shape of my nose. I have attached two photos, the first being before the surgery and one as at today.
