Alar Base Reduction. I have Narrowing Wide Nose & Nostrils to make it look smaller. After remove stitch from my nose, my skin does not seem to grow back to cover my nose hump and the scar from incision look so visible. it is already 1 month from surgery procedure. I want to know when will it heal? how long does it take to grow skin back? my nose hump is red purple color. thank you
Bottom stitches are absorbable sutures. I had a scar revision on nose bridge 4 weeks age. 3 week age I had the top superficial stitches remove and now I have marks (holes) where stitches where. Will this heal?
There are indents on the right (scab didn't come off till 18 days later and the place where the last part of the scab fell off is where it is indented) and a very dark purple/brown line towards the left nostril. Is this normal? I've started to use scar gel but will it improve over time? From the looks of it, it looks like the scar will be prominent. Please advise if there is anything I can do to improve this.
Can it still be swollen? I had a rhinoplasty 13 months ago. I have addressed my concerns to my doctor multiple times but he keeps telling me that he is not a miracle worker when I came in with minor issues. My nose on the sides had a boxy look at the bone and the bridge was flattened I had a low nose tip so it was giving me a droopy look when smiling. I ask the doctor to storten my Columella It was low. And wanted the sides of my nose bone straightened out and the tip slimmed. All he says is asymmetry is not possible.
I had a rhinoplasty w/ alarplasty 5 weeks ago and the left side is healing great, but on the right side there is a bump that isnt flush with the contour of my nostril. Is this scar tissue that will need to be excised or can this be corrected with laser (if it is scar tissue)? Ive been very patient and have been waiting it out before wanting to contact my PS in hopes that its just normal healing, but it isnt looking like a scab that will fall off, but discolored flesh instead. Thank you
I am currently 4 weeks post open rhino. My nose is still very swollen and the most swelling seems to be in my nostrils, tip and colemellar section. As the incision scars heal ive notice a hard white bump forming on the columellar scar. No pain or drainage just unsightly. I brought my concern to my plastic surgeon and he said to wait it out another month but that he has never had such a case. I am using bio oil scar treatment currently, other creams/oils i should be using? is this common?
4 weeks since my open rhinoplasty and the scar is very visible from every angles. had it in Slovakia and it is hard to go for follow up. worry the surgeon is not competent as we had a 2 mins consultation (first time) before operation. Nothing change (wanted smaller size, width (alar), tips down, etc) like a pig (nose tips got shorter after surgery). nose was smaller and pointer before. Am I eligible to ask for revision surgery How long should I wait before complaint. What can be done to improve?
It has been 1 month post op. I had septorhinoplasty and turninotes reduced. My right side was where the most work was done on (the dip). I now have scar tissue in both nostrils. Left nostril is pretty big an blocking nasal passage. Should I wait it out or get steroid injections? My DR said to do tapes and compression and wait a few months. The problem is I am now having trouble breathing. Also, I have a dip on right side. He said it is swelling. What can I do to resolve this?
Hello, I had surgery September 12th 2018. I was born with a cleft lip and palate and I recently just had a rhinoplasty. My biggest concern was that my nose dipped down and I had a dorsal hump. I'm happy with the results so far except my dorsal hump is still there!! Does this look like swelling or calloused... What do I do about it?! I'll post before and after pics. Also when he first took the splint off it looked straight and now not so much...
I had a partial rhinoplasty and septum repair about 5 weeks ago. I have been cleared for yoga, but I still feel slightly sore, numb and fairly swollen inside my nose. I am worried that all the inversions and constant bending with my head down will delay healing and keep me swollen. Am I overthinking this or being smart?
