I had my primary rhinoplasty to reduce a dorsal hump and fix my deviated septum, my surgeon did tip refinements to fix my bulbous tip. I was super self conscious about my side profile before and now I am even more because my nose looks longer in my opinion. I'm still early on in my recovery process but I feel so devastated with my results, I don't think it's that much swelling that is making my nose so long, I need advice please.
Hi Doctors I've had 2 rhinoplasties (2017 & 2019) and I regret the second one. After the first, I liked the front view of my face, but there was a slight curve. I thought a second could fix it, but it resulted in a more bulbous tip. I feel like the tip volume doesn't look right with my face. Can I get a tip rhinoplasty only? I don't want major changes as it has affected my self-confidence. The tip is the biggest concern for me, and I just want to slim it out without drastically altering my nose.
Hi docs, I've done rhinoplasty procedure overseas where the surgeon put size 7 gore tex in my nose. I also has tip plasty done at the time. Rhino was done less than 4 months ago. I'd like the gore tex to be removed completely with no replacement at all and keep the tip plasty as is.Can the size 7 gore tex implant be removed by closed approach and without affecting the tip plasty? What is usually the preferred method? Thanks again docs!
About 1.5 years post revision tip plasty and a few months into a stressful routine and family situation as well as 6 months post vaccine (for context) I developed a cold intolerance on my nose. The skin gets cold so easily and feels tight and constricted. It happens in anything below 74 degrees but can happen even when Im working out and my body is hot. Its ruining my life. The appearance of the nose looks worse but feels awful. What can I do? I refuse being a rare case with chronic issues.
My tip still too large, crooked and asymmetrical. Seeking recommendations. After a full revision and months of healing, rib grafting to project nose and attempt to straighten nose, here is my results. Profile looks good, but tip remains too big and asymmetric. Next step is to use composite skin graft from ear to add alar curvature. But adding alar will not fix my big tip. Would adding alar span/interdome sutures align my tip with bridge width? Ir would dome division be helpful? Can more b done? I just want a nose that wont distract from other features. Ideas?
In 2007 I had a rhinoplasty in which the only procedure performed was to shave down a dorsal hump. No broken bones no cartilage changes etc. In 2018 I had a septoplasty to correct breathing issues. I have an extremely bulbous tip. When I seek consultations am I looking into revision rhinoplasty which is obviously far more expensive or am I seeking solely a tip plasty to reduce the bulbous shape
I had a revision tip plasty almost 2 years ago and for the last six or so months my nose will get really cold at the tip and my thin skin shrinks tight around the nose and then you can see irregularities and the white cartilage through the skin at the tip. I have thin skin which happened after a poor primary but my revision (different) surgeon didnt use fascia. Its driving me crazy because it happens even in low 70s. Im worried about winter again. Any suggestions? My surgeon shrugged it off. Would dermal fillers would be a good alternative to lowering the nostrils and creating a barrier so when it gets cold it wont show the irregularities?
Had revision rhinoplasty 5 years ago and tip plasty 13 months ago. Now I have a bump and can feel bumps in the bone right below bridge that I never had before or even right after tip surgery. What would cause this new bump (steroid shots? Skin thinning?) and how can it be fixed?
Tip Plasty is used for aesthetic corrections, however, can the procedure also help correct functional breathing problems? My deviated septum was straightened and turbinates were reduced in a past procedure, but breathing problems have continued. One nostril size is significantly unsymmetrical (smaller) than the other one.
