I had a revision septorhinoplasty with rib graft just over two years ago. I am extremely unhappy with the result. My surgeon told me 6 months after the revision that the rib graft he used was calcified, so grafts are too thick. I had bilateral extended spreader grafts & LC strut grafts, right strut graft has been since removed upon advice of the surgeon due to being placed too high. What are my options to fix this?
I am one year post op from rhinoplasty. Unfortunately my nose was over-rotated and now looks short and I feel like it does not fit my other features. My doctor used suture techniques and a columellar strut but I am unsure if he has shortened my septum. My doctor likes how my nose is and will not do revision. Would lengthening the nose require firm grafts or could other techniques be used? I am already uncomftortable with the columellar strut and would not like my nose to be harder. Thank you.
5 months post septorhinoplasty. Hello! I have a few concerns. My tip goes to my left (it didn't before), my surgeon says he doesn't think it will improve much now. He did a teostrut to the left of my septum. I can feel the graft and it is not central. What doesn't help is that the right side of my tip seems to be lacking cartilage and I think I also might have valve collapse on the right side. What do you think caused these issues? How could this be improved? Thank you for your advice.
I did not get many opinions last time I asked.I have a columella strut graft that is really uncomfortable. it goes past my actual columella and is in my upper lip area and it is bouncing around with lip movement and is grinding against something. My objective is so that I will not feel it mobile nor feel it in this area. I have gotten many opinions and most docs say if you shorten it, the tip will drop a lot. I have no clue what to do and feel depressed and hopeless? This will be 3rd op
What will happen when columellar strut is removed and nosetip rib cartilage stays? Bc of the columella old smile is gone. Will your upperlip come back up and your normal smile when you remove the strut?
Revision rhinoplasty- columella strut Hello, I had an asian rhinoplasty in March. A rib cartilage was used to build my nose. My nose is over projected and a bit too long for my small face. My main concern is the columella strut was so low that its pushing down on my lip causing a dent and a u dent on my smile. Is there a minor thing that can be done to fix the dent and move the columella up so its not pushing my lip down or to cut the tip a little shorter? I dont want to go under a full on rhinoplasty again. My smile is ruined.
My surgeon wants to remove the strut graft that supports my tip during my revision surgery. He says it is not necessary for me to have it and 10 years ago surgeons used strut grafts in almost all cases. This practice is now outdated. Is there still a possibility that my tip will change position due to the removal of a columellar strut graft? And why would a surgeon consider removing it?
I had a revision septorhinoplasty with strut grafts and spreader grafts. My nose is huge, bulbous and there is zero definition of my nares. Can I have these removed to have my old nose back? I look hideous. I'm 10 months post OP. I've posted before and after photos.
Hi, I really wanted to bring back my profile look. My doctor was from Brazil and said he used Dr. Davis techniques. He used my septum cartilage to project the nose (strut). He also added some diced cartilage to build up the bridge. I would love to have a less projected, a little thicker and rounded nose. Is that possible?
