I have had this bump by my nostril since a few hours after cast removal. Just from looking, is it botched or scar tissue? I have very thick skin and was wondering if it is worth getting a revision? Or is there any other procedure to fix this
I had my rhinoplasty just over 6 months ago. My nose tip is still bumpy but he said its soft tissue swelling. The swelling has persisted and now Im scared I have scar tissue. Do I need a revision? I have attached a photo so you can see my nose tip
I had a revision rhino 7 months ago. It mainly focused on carving some bone from one side. On that side the swelling has been quite bad. It feels squigy and I can squeeze it and press down on it. I had a steroid injection which helped a lot temporarily. The squidgyness has come back a month later. When I tape overnight it looks good for a while but then comes back. I'm worried that too much cartilage has been removed for the skin to shrink or that this is scar tissue rather than swelling?
I am trying to understand why my nose looks like this after 2 rhinoplastys from the same surgeon. Is this an open roof deformity or an inverted V deformity? I My surgeon claims it is scar tissue and selling and will not help more. I feel botched and dont know how to fix this. Would he give me my money back if it is a deformity? its been 3 years since my original and 2 years since my revision
Hello, I'm a woman who had 1 initial rhinoplasty and 2 revisions from a broken nose as a child. The last revision left me with scar tissue around the tip. I'm wondering what the procedure or possibility would be to remove the scar tissue to restore the tip of my nose please? I m concerned another procedure is risky and am wary of making the scarring worse.
Hello, doctors. I have a question concerning how access to the columella, specifically to the area underlying the columella skin, is obtained during a closed rhinoplasty. One of my revision rhinoplasty issues includes a hard lump of scar tissue that formed under the columella area that causes my columella to look asymmetrical and skewed and was not addressed during my primary rhinoplasty. How might this scar tissue mass be accessed and removed through a closed revision rhinoplasty?
I had my procedure back in Nov 2020 and Im not happy with the results. It appears that the left side of my nose has a partial collapse. I cant recall how many times I have been to see my surgeon to get this sorted. but all he has done so far is give me steroid injections. He says I have scar tissue that is pulling the skin inwards but after 3 years I really just want this sorted. Should I be getting revision rhinoplasty or will the steroid injections work?
I had rhinoplasty and have horrible scar tissue on both sides of the nose making my nose persistently bulbous. How do doctors remove scar tissue during surgery? Steroid shots have been used but left indentations. The scar tissue is all along the sides of from mid nose to nostril and can be felt when pinching nostrils together.
I'm 16 months post op and the last few months my breathing became pretty bad, I can barely breathe while exercising or on my bicycle, and I'm often pulling my cheek to get some air. It also tickles occasionally. What is it? Turbinates or scar tissue or an collapse?
