I had a primary rhinoplasty done October 2021 to reduce a very prominent dorsal hump. My surgeon assured me he had removed the hump and given me a nice slope. Over a year post op, I was unhappy with how my nose still had a hump so I underwent a closed revision to further reduce the hump with the same surgeon. Now a year post revision, the hump is much smaller but still there. When I press firmly on it or apply tape it seems to flatten is this still swelling or will I need a third surgery?
I had a primary rhinoplasty where I had a dorsal hump and droopy tip, my surgeon fixed that but left my nose looking too long and pointy, is there a way to fix that? Also when I smile you can see my nostrils and I feel like it looks like a pig nose as well.
I need to do an overdone rhinoplasty. I am male and I feel having no dorsal hump took my masculine look. Is it possible to make a small natural looking bump when revising. Also my cartilage grew after twenty years and I might need to raise the tip. I just don't want to remove anything from the nose anymore. Is it possible to just add cartilage and raise the tip?
In Aug 2022, I had septorhinoplasty for a deviated septum and dorsal hump, with some tip work to lift. Nov 23 revision with same surgeon to lift tip again and rasp lump on bridge. Surgeon said they caught lateral cartilage, causing a asymmetric hump on the bridge. I also think I have alar retraction, and my nasal breathing is reduced. Same surgeon proposes trimming protruding cartilage and lowering nostrils but didnt mention grafts or alar retraction. What are your thoughts/advice?
Hello, I had a rhinoplasty to remove a very large dorsal hump about 8 years ago. I was really happy with the results but now that the swelling is down the tip looks bulbous and points downwards when I smile. I've asked about revision but my doctor seemed reluctant to do so and didn't seem to understand my concern. Am I being unreasonable with my expectations, or is it possible to get results like my photoshopped images on the right? Thank you!
I had a rhinoplasty 6 months ago (deviated septum, dorsal hump, big droopy tip). Looked great straight after, but 2 months post op a supratip bump appeared. Since then everything has gone progressively worse. Got a microdose of cortisone at 4 months post op but did not help. The bump is rock hard and very protruding, there is an indented area above it (visble from sides) and the bridge is uneven. What could be wrong and how can it be fixed? Surgeon wants to do a revision at 9 months post op.
I had an open septorhinoplasty performed in 2022. Upon speaking to my doctor regarding the internal structure as well as the deviation & dorsal bump, it was suggested that I also have my nose shortened to be more aesthetically proportionate. I did have my nose broken with all above focused on. Present day, I have deviation/dorsal hump. My Dr. did explain that cartilage has memory. I understand w/surgery there are no guarantees of sucess/perfection. Any advisement of how to proceed is welcome
I am going to have revision rhinoplasty. I had my first septorhinoplasty June of 2022. My tip is not straight and I have redeviation with dorsal hump. Can I successfully have desired improvement with closed surgery and with my thin skin is it possible to aesthetically get a straighter appearance?
5 months ago I had open septorhinoplasty with donor rib cartilage. The tip was narrowed and the dorsal hump removed. Since the cast was removed I have noticed a bend in my nose to my right and it hasnt improved. Ive also recently seen a small hard lump on the right side of my nose tip. Would I benefit from revision surgery after 12 months?
i got a closed rhinoplasty in 2019 mainly to reduce a dorsal hump. i started developing a slight boney callus. because my doctor said it would be easy to rasp it under local anesthesia, i went ahead with that procedure in 2020. since then, the callus has grown back and is significantly worse than before. it is on the top and side of my bridge as well as between my eyebrows. i had steroid injections after both procedures. is there any way to fix this? or would it just get worse no matter what
