I have had this bump by my nostril since a few hours after cast removal. Just from looking, is it botched or scar tissue? I have very thick skin and was wondering if it is worth getting a revision? Or is there any other procedure to fix this
Good morning Doctors, A year ago I had rhinosectoplasty surgery. However, I noticed that there is a small bump on the right side of the nose that is very hard to the touch and makes the nose look strange to me (I don't know if it is fibrosis or bony callus or something else). I was wondering if it would be possible to remove this bump by local anesthesia and approximately how much it might cost. I would also like to know what you think of the final result. Is it a good result? Thank you
Hi. It's been 2 years since my surgery and I still have this white bump which is very noticeable. My surgeon doesn't want to touch it as he says maybe it's holding my tip up. This sounds ridiculous. This bump is very very noticeable. What can I do? The whole scar is very very noticeable but this white bump bothers me the most at it's visible on the side.
I am 25 and underwent a primary rhinoplasty 6 months ago. I am concerned about the outward curvature of my nose on both sides but primarily on my right side. I was originally told I could do an in-office rasping to resolve this issue. Now I am told that I need to go under at the surgery center to fix the issue. Is it possible this hard bump is swelling or is it likely that it is bone that needs revision surgery? Looking for a second opinion. Thank you!
Hi! I am about eight months post-op. Around the six month mark, I noticed a bump around my supratip area. I thought it might be scar tissue, but my surgeon told me its not swelling or scar tissue. He told me that my nose was very crooked before surgery, so that cartilage shifted back, and that I should massage it. We also injected some steroid. Now, about two months later, its much worse. Is this truly cartilage? Do I need revision? My surgeon said its noticeable to the average person.
im 8 months post op... Got my huge bump removed and tip lifted.....overall happy by theres this bony deviation which looks bad on certain lighting...I want to know if strong pressure or massage can smoothen this bump. I asked my surgeon for a revision but he said it looks fine :/ i dont understand... Also its the *bony* part of the nose, so is there any point of massaging the spot? Also why doesnt my surgeon want to do a minor revision? Am I overthinking??
Hi I have a few questions regarding a rhinoplasty I had. I am currently 2yrs and 5months post op from my surgery. I have some concerns regarding my nose still such as it still looks swollen and a small minimum bump on my bridge. I have thick oily skin so I know that can contribute to delay my healing time. When discussed with my surgeon she informed me that it can take 3+ years for my swelling to be done. My old nose was also a lot skinner then what I have now. Im considering getting a revision
Had a revision rhinoplasty april 2023. Was under for almost 5 hours. Doctor said it was a difficult job. Deviated septum and prior reset from 30 years ago. It looked pretty decent until couple months back when swelling went down. Left bridge is visibly more narrow than right and a good bridge lump never went away. Left tip has a noticeable bump on cartlidge and left side is sore in general. Doc is out on maternity for 3 months. Is it too soon to seek out a diff surgeon? Opinions at 9 months?
I had rhinoplasty in January 2023 to fix a hump on my bridge and fix a bulbous tip. However , I have noticed that my nose tip is big and very round from the side. It wasnt looking like that 1 month post op. I also grew a bump on the bridge of my nose 3 months post op and got it fixed by my surgeon 4 months later. Would revision be an option for me? I also noticed some days its bigger than others.
