I had a revision rhinoplasty 18 days ago. I had a lot of dried mucus in my nose and had been trying not to pick or blow my nose. However, this morning I couldn't take it anymore and I picked my nose with a Qtip. I am now very worried that I could have interferred with the healing. Could I have done something to harm my nose? My nose does seem more swollen and tender today than it was yesterday. What is the proper way to clean the nose?
I recently got my revision rhinoplasty done and the surgeon did a great job the only thing that is bothering me is that it looks a bit crooked. He keeps telling me to be patient that it will take time to heal. But I feel as I am no longer swollen and it looks crooked. He said I have to wait 6 months and then we can fox these minor issues? what do you suggest? I need another opinion. Do you think this will fix with time?
I am 3 weeks post op for septo rhino. During my consultation I mentioned I wanted to remove my hump and also mentioned the tip of my nose points left wanting it straightened. My surgeon said he would not touch the tip and now I am regretting not asking why? I read that it Takes time for the swelling I subside but I cant help believing that I wont require a revision as it appears to be quite off still.
Recently when I was taking photos of my nose, I noticed on one side (my right side) of my nostrils is more droopy and longer and even wider, much more significant swelling than the left. I'm really scared that it's going to permanently stay like that. I'm not considering revision rhinoplasty either. Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem?
I'm 3 weeks post op & my revision rhinoplasty involved a tip deprojection. He did a lot of work to my tip especially. The surgery took 3.5 hours. He also narrowed my bridge but I can't tell yet. Today I'm noticing an uncomfortableness when I smile because it feels like my skin is pulling as though it's tight around my tip. Even when I don't smile, I'm feeling a tight, tingling sensation & some sort of pressure on my whole nose. Just trying to pinpoint what's going on. Thanks!
Hi Doctor, I had surgery 3 weeks ago.I really regret it.My new nose never suit my face.I had typical asian nose a bit short and wide. Now my new nose a bit high and narrow. They put silicon in my nose and removed my small bone.I really miss my old nose.I only want my old nose. Please is it possible if second time surgery can bring my old nose and is it safe? After surgery i feel so bad, depress, stress and everyday i cry. Please help me doctor? I can not stay rest of my life like this situation.
Three weeks ago I had a closed rhinoplasty at UCLA Medical Clinic. I reiterated to my doctors that I am prone to hypertrophic scarring and that I was terrified to have incision scars on my outside face. They informed me they could complete the surgery withour visible ones. I awoke and was informed the chisel slipped and tore through my tearduct. The area has healed poorly. I've attached photos. It's hard to get a good photo of the area because I naturally have sunken eyes. I'm devastated.
I had revision septorhinoplasty 19 days ago, with work on my tip and nostril using ear catrtilagd grafts and scalp fascia. My PS and I had discussed lowering my bridge so my nose wouldn't be as tall, but after I got out of surgery he let me know he didn't touch my bridge (no explanation as to why and I was too drugged up to question it). Now, looking at my nose, I'm so unhappy with how big it looks. Is this simply swelling, or is this likely how tall/projected it will remain?
My nose tip also seems very pointy and overprojected and upturned. I wanted a slightly rounded tip. I am 3 weeks out from a revision rhinoplasty with septum and ear graft to derotate and lengthen the nose that was overresected. I know I must have swelling left, but my nose seems too defined and pointy and I am especially really worried about the complete flatness of the columella, which exaggerates the miss piggy look from the upturned tip.
Revision rhinoplasty a year ago-septoplasty 3 weeks ago. After revision rhinoplasty, columella leaned and tissue inside nostril was raised (it's soft /nose hairs are growing) . When I smile, it hangs out a little. I thought it would be corrected in septoplasty ,but it wasn't . What caused this and how can it be resolved? I don't want to go through another surgery. Even if columella remains leaning, I would like to not have the skin inside that nostril like that. Is this possible and an easy fix?
