had a revision rhinoplasty in march 2022 with a rib graft. The tip of my nose became very red this summer and has not gone away. The skin also peels. It also seems to get worse when Im hot. I wear sunscreen and my surgeon said it should go away in time. Is it necrosis or rosacea? Ive also tried bbl laser to help and it hasnt. Some days its worse than others but seems to get more red throughout day. Pictures Im posting are in morning with little redness but gets bright red later
Its been 1.5 years since my septic-rhinoplasty and Ive been waiting for a while now for my top swelling to go down. I understand I have thick skin and it will take a while for my tip to go down especially but it the supra tip is making my tip look big while my bridge is low so it looks weird. But I dont know if this is a c complication or just swelling. I think its swelling or scar tissue because when I press down its pretty squishy still. Its worse when I smile and the tip drops.
I had my nose done in October of 2021, approximately 17 months ago. I do seem to have thick skin, but the nose is now upturned and really bulbous and thick and lacking definition, in my opinion. I would like it to fit my face proportionately and be straight on bottom. Wondering if theres any chance this will resolve on its own or there are obvious issues created from the rhino to be rectified. Thanks so much in advance.
Is it really dangerous having a revision rhinoplasty a year and a half AFTER getting nasolabial fillers? So I had the fillers in february 2021 and the surgery date is end of november 2022. The surgery is suppose to also reduce my nostrils so the surgeon will cut around my nostrils. Thank you.
Hi, I had septorhinoplasty 1.5 years ago and there is a bump on one side of my nose that is quite noticeable. At first my surgeon said it was due to swelling so I received 4 cortisone shots every 4 weeks before the year was up, however, these did not help. It also looks like that one nostril is somewhat collapsed or weak. My breathing also did not improve by much. Would a revision be worth it? Im not sure if another recovery and time off work would be worth it. Thank you for your help!
I have unfortunately had to have 4 revision rhinoplasties. It has been a year and a half since my last one and I continue to have intermittent swelling and redness. Is this normal and when should I expect the swelling to completely go away? The swelling goes from my bridge to the tip. I have rib and ear cartilage as well as fascia over the bridge. When it swells it makes my nose appear very wide. The redness and swelling will come and go but there is no common factors behind the cause of it.
Hello! I had a rhinoplasty a while back to correct my tip and to straighten my nose. Overall the nose is much better than before. I visited the Dr. several times and last time was at 8 months after surgery. He mentioned it would be better to wait to see if this small bump decreases. However, now after almost a year and a half I believe this is not related to any swelling. What do you think it could be? Do you think it would require a revision? It is more visible on one side
I had a rhinoplasty+septo about 19 months ago. I can breath , my nose is not as wide anymore. But it is too high for me. The bride and especially the tip. Its uptured and unnatural. I feel so uncomfortable i try to never take my mask off. Is there anything that can be put in the tip? I had a very flat and wide asian nose. Can all the ear cartilage just be removed? What are the options I have if any.
