Hello, I was wondering how long do I need to wait in order to have my gore tex implant removed? It is not infected and it has been a month since Surgery. I do not like the look of the implant and after very much thought, I rather have no implant at all (no silicone, med pore, other gortex size, ear or rib cartilige). Can the implant be removed as soon as possible? Ive seen cases where patients have them removed as early as 5 days to 3 months because of infection and nose is left as is/natural.
I am about 5 weeks post op. I got my hump taken off and my tip lifted and refined. I am fine with the hump being removed but I can't stand looking at my front profile. I feel like my nose looks too small and lifted and since swelling is still a factor Im afraid it's only going to get smaller. With a revision can I drop the tip and make it a little rounded and wider again like it used to be? I don't mind not having a swoop or anything like that I just want my old self from the front back.
I had a primary rhino on Dec 11 (nose fractured), and revisions on Mar 26 (rasping, cartilage removal of some cartilage, sutured tip to lift). I am happy with these revisions, and especially love my raised tip. I no longer have any pain, and would like to hit the gym, but I don't want to mess up my nose! Honestly, my tip is what I am most worried about, as I believe it has dropped a bit recently. Will doing elliptical exercises ruin my tip? Should I do something to support it while I exercise?
I had revision rhinoplasty 4 weeks ago in Istanbul the surgeon used cartilage from my rib because too much was taken out with my previous surgery. I asked for a slim small nose and was assured that was possible with cartilage. Its now been 4 weeks my nose is huge and Ive also noticed my bridge has become bumpy my surgeon said its swollen bones is that true? compared to my last surgery there is a big difference in size. I am also very worried about the bump on the bridge it seems to be getting bigger.
I had revision rhinoplasty a month ago to change out my nose implant for a smaller one, define my nose tip and fix my hanging columella. Now I feel like my nose looks too small and narrow for my face. From the front, my nose shape is more like a thin rectangle than the ideal triangle shape. When I smile, my nostrils have an odd shape - almost like MJs nose. It looks very unnatural. Is there a way to add volume back to my nose tip? Fillers? Grafts? How long do I need to wait for each option.
Had revision closed 4 wks ago after open primary. My columella was hanging but now is FLAT, rock hard, painful and just ugly and messy looking. My front teeth hurt and I cant rub my lips together due to tightness. Dr says it wont move or loosen with time. Also says adding a graft to augment the columella could raise the tip even higher. Is this likely? I wanted a long elegant nose, just straightened and not hanging. I did not want a flat, wide and short nose. Suggestions?
is this normal?? I had revision done using my rib this time, June 12th. Not only can i not breathe still ( reason for doing this) my tip looks really funny. It's a redish purple ;(. Normal?
Hi Doctors, I had a painful experience as my strut was hurt while I tried to drink from a plastic bottle. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I went to see my doctor in Korea within 10 days but he said everything looks good. I went to seek another doctor for second doctor there, but he ask me to do revision 6 mths later as there is still swelling. Will u pls share with me what are the possible consequences and complications for having strut hit (ear cartilage graft) based on levels of severity?
