“Worked everywhere except legs”
Laser hair removal: Worth it
Pain: Mild
I went to a friend to get laser hair removal. She works for a clinic so I got this deal where for $3000, I could get unlimited amount of sittings. So lets see, for my legs, underarms and chin, i must have paid around $1500 and i still can get my whole body done. She told me that the hair is killed by laser when it is in the growth stage, so it takes multiple sittings to get the desired results. Laser has worked for me in some areas and not in all. I was told that blond hair is hard and since I am blond, it took me quite a few sessions. On the whole part, it was not very painful but when she would hit the hard and dark hair, it hurt quite a bit.
After two treatments, we saw no improvement on the legs and we gave up the laser hair removal. I had some hair on my chin and underarms and laser worked well in those areas. After 3 treatments, I have 80% less hair in those areas and am still continuing to go for the treatment. My chin hair is almost gone now. The underarms still need some work. Since I have bought this package, I plan to go for the bikini area and the lower back as well. The hair are not as hard as the legs, so I don’t think it will hurt that much. My legs hair has become very coarse after years of shaving, so the legs were very painful and even the results were not what I was hoping for.
I also have some hair on my fingers and toes that I plan to get removed. Who knows, I might try my legs again after all this, since I have bought that package. On the whole I am satisfied with the results everywhere except my legs. My guess is that each case and each person’s body is different so you can’t really be sure on whom and on what area laser works. The costs also vary for every individual. I am happy with the results and hope that my legs get smooth and clean too.
