The Worst Pain I Have Ever Experienced - Winston Salem, NC

I paid $300 for the Zoom whitening procedure and my teeth looked the whitest they have ever looked. But. four to five hours after the procedure my teeth started experiencing this sharp pain, I took Alleve, some generic aspirin brand, and another generic ibuprofen, but at 9:30pm that night (had procedure at 10am), I called the emergency line at my dentist office in tears because my mouth was killing me so bad I wanted to rip my teeth out with pliers. They prescribed Vicodin and it knocked me out, but as soon as I woke up the pain came back. I went back to the dentist 2 days later because I couldn't get the pain to stop. He said one of my teeth needs a root canal and the bleach might have made the tooth extra sensitive. (I am not sure why my whole mouth is killing me still???) It is 1:30am and I am desperately looking for answers to help the pain stop. Any suggestions?

Oh my! I'm so sorry you're having to endure this. Here's what some dentists say about pain after Zoom treatments. And here is feedback from some dentists about how long the pain can last. Maybe the pain is radiating out from the affected tooth and makes it feel as if your whole mouth is in agony? When is your root canal?
