Ready to Look How I Feel - Wichita, KS

So I will be three weeks post op tummy tuck tomorrow!! Surgery was a little nerve racking because I have never had general anesthesia. It was all over before I knew it! That was the wonderful part. I remember them asking me to move onto the surgical table and the doctor right beside me letting me know how great I would look after....then I was out! I woke up in recovery and wanted so badly to clear my throat but my abdomen let me know very quickly that that was not an option! I don't remember much about the rest of the day. Day 2 was not as great! I could not stand up straight and my back was not happy with me for about a week after! The drain was probably the worst part!! So my abs are still sore...tender to cough or sneeze and of course my kiddos bring home a cold that I am now fighting! Ugh! So still coughing a bit and sneezing! Thank goodness this didn't happen right after surgery...I might have died! :)

I had drain pulled out at 2 weeks with right at 30cc of fluid in 24 hrs! That was a blessing, but I think I tried to do to much to quick and now I have developed fluid (seroma) around my scar area!! This is super frustrating as I cannot get my binder tight enough and when I do if I try to sit the binder just slides!!! Anyone with any suggestions about compression garments or how the heck to get rid of this seroma, I'm all ears!!

I WOULD TOTALLY DO THIS AGAIN!! I think it is well worth the money and my results even with the seroma are AMAZING!!! :)

Dr. Stacy Peterson is AWESOME!! He has great bedside manner and is truly concerned about his patients. When I went to his office this Week to get the seroma drained for the first time he heard how bad my cold was and checked me for pneumonia before leaving! He does absolutely amazing work and would recommend him to any friends, family or others who are thinking about PS in the Kansas area!!

Well my pre-op appointment is in two days! I am excited and nervous all at the same time!! I chose Dr. Peterson. Even though it was not a free consultation it still worked in my favor. That consult fee is going towards my surgery cost! I had a very bad experience with a "free consultation" I waited for over 45 mins past my scheduled time!!! I actually walked out of that appointment! The staff there did not seem as professional to me. They were all very young girls who were wearing fitted sweats that said "pink" across the rear! Dr. Petersons nurse was very professional and informative! My gut instinct said to choose Dr. Peterson and I am very comfortable with my choice! My surgery is scheduled for 12/26! Yep this is my Christmas present to myself! :) I had to plan it around Christmas break when I knew the kids would be out of school and my mom could help me for about a week! Wish me luck!
