Went great. The Dr. Said I'm doing wonderful and that I've lost a lot more weight than expected in this time frame. So far I've lost 45lbs. I'm so excited. I can't really see it myself but it's great to hear. ;-)

Everyday gets easier with times of wanting to run away. It's a huge change not only for yourself but your family as well. I'm so lucky though to have such a great support system. I have been really enjoying walking and incorporating my family too. I'll keep you updated.

I Thought about getting this procedure for about 10 years and then I met two of my friends who have had the bypass. They told me there story which encouraged me too pursue my surgery. I had to do the 10 day liquid diet before surgery date which I had no troubles with. Once I had the surgery the first day I was really knocked out, I couldn't keep my eyes open. The second day was better but still sleepy and I was able to get up and walk around throughout the day. The third day, I was released and sent home. I only had to use my medication for approximately 4 days and that wasn't consistent. I was walking around my neighborhood the first night getting home. I did liquids for 2.5 wks and then I started soft foods and was able to tolerate them better than liquids. I am 4 weeks post op and I have lost 32 pounds starting my 10 day liquid Preop. I have had a relatively great experience with the surgery and post op.

He is very educated and straight to the point. He is very courteous and I have called him several times to ask questions or if I have had concerns and he gave me his cell phone in case I can't reach him at the office so I don't get scared. He has been very supportive which has helped me.
