What a Mess!

Not Worth It
Spent: $850 in Greenville, SC
I too had Radiesse injections because I did not want a surgical facelift. The pain was manageable, but the bruising lasted for 10 days. Worst of all I had injection site bumps that oozed for 3 weeks. My doctor told me that he could DIG it out of the bumps. That sounds like fun! 3 months after the procedure, my n/l folds are back and the Radiesse has dropped to pockets on my gowls below the corners of my lips. I have clumps of the stuff settling at my jaw line. I look and feel very self-conscious. Sorry doc but you will never get your hands on me again- not even to attempt to fix this mess.

If it's okay, could you tell me who or where you had the injection done? I live in your area. I hope your results improve.

if possible, can you please tell me who or where you had the injection done? I live in your area. I hope your results improve. If this msg is repeated 3x, it's because I'm having difficulty posting a response and so I apologize.

Had Radiesse in Naso Labial folds two weeks ago. It must not have been injected deeply enough as it is clumping and the skin around my nose is very dry and bumpy. The product was not distributed evenly, and I am only hoping that my skin doesn't die! I had Restylane before, and that worked great, but chose to try Radiesse for its longer lasting effects. I won't do it again. My doctor seemed extremely professional, and I went to a seemingly top notch place. But Radiesse seems to require a lot of skill and artistry to do properly, and few people are likely to have this aptitude.

Last August 2007 I had two treatments. I am 50 years old and had deep laugh lines and a line between my eyebrows. Also, had a scar in my chin crease. The scar looked 100% better and has remained so. The other..... Well the laugh lines and the vertical line between the brow were back within 3 months. I wear a piece of scotch tape on the vertical line each night at bedtime and unfortunately even that isn't helping. It's like my skin totally absorbed it and it no longer exists. I didn't have the money to spend on it in the first place but wanted the lines gone. My husband had died a year earlier and I felt I wanted to look younger and more attractive. I did! But for only 3 months. So much for this product. I'm depressed over it and $1600.00 poorer.
