I just got thermage on my stomach, 3 days ago.  I went to a very well respected plastic surgeon.  Over 2  years ago I lost 100 pounds and even though I work out every other day, I have loose skin.  Too little for surgery and I wouldn't want to go that route.  I took no pain killers.  I told them to turn up the heat.  The way Thermage works is by heating the lower layers of your skin.  No burns on the surface, but it feels as if it is burning.  Swelling is what happens.  You are not to take anti-inflammatories afterward or it will negate the effects.  It is not immediate.  There are no quick fixes for skin - hell my skin is 50 years old....a  few hours of Thermage to  help - YES it is worth it.  Even after a few days, I can see a little change.   Yes, I am slightly swollen, but it is worth it.

Next week I get my upper thighs done.  And I hope my before and after pictures make it to his web site.

I reiterate - a couple hours of slight pain for  the result?  My god that is worth it in my book.

I agree - no pain, no gain. Swelling is a natural reaction to heat - and this is precisely what Thermage does - heats skin and collagen. Sounds like you were properly consulted and your expectations were met. How about some pics!?

Its because you went to a PLASTIC SURGEON that I suspect you got a good result.I have come to the conclusion that unless medi spas are regulated - they should be banned
