It's Been a Long Time Coming - Weston, FL

I have been considering having my breasts reduced...

I have been considering having my breasts reduced for about 10 years now. I have always been told to wait until after I'd had my first child. My son will be 2 in 2 weeks and my surgery is scheduled 4 weeks from today. While I am super excited about getting rid of my 38 DDD's, I am a little worried about how my tummy will look afterward. Insurance is covering my breasts and I couldn't afford to have my tummy done, so I am going to have to try my beast to work on my abs at the gym.

Thank you so much Kimmers25. Your comment was so reassuring. I can't weight to begin working on the rest of my body.

Try not to think about your tummy right now.  Focus on the reduction and then go from there.  Once this is done you will feel so good and will want to exercise like crazy.  After my reduction I felt like a new woman and had so much energy.  I was able to drop 60 pounds after my reduction and got in the best shape of my life.

Of course I did end up having a tummy tuck the next year..LOL

Baby steps here:)

Today is Saturday, March 23 and I am 3 days post...

Today is Saturday, March 23 and I am 3 days post op. I haven't had a chance to really look at them because I haven't taken off the bra and my drains are still in. The pain was unbearable the first day post op, but it is manageable now.

All in all, I'm surprised at how I can already notice a significant change in my appearance. My boobs were so overwhelming. That's all anyone saw when they looked at me. I am so shocked that I actually went through with the procedure. I was so nervous and scared that morning. Luckily, God saw me through.

I got my drainage tubes taken out today....

I got my drainage tubes taken out today. Yikes!!!!! While it wasn't entirely unbearable and painful, it was unpleasant. He had to tug at it a bit before snipping the stitch and pulling the tube out. That's what was the most painful. The rest was actually quite painless. I have sensation in my left nipple but not my right. Does that mean its completely gone or can it slowly come back?

So far, I am absolutely pleased with what I see so far.
Weston Plastic Surgeon

I haven't gone through my procedure just yet, but Dr. Rothfield seems very professional and knowledgeable. I found him from the in-network providers list for my insurance and I just about researched all the providers before I decided to go with him.
