I had been thinking as my birthday was approaching...
I had been thinking as my birthday was approaching that I needed to see what I could do that wasn't terribly invasive but could give me a more youthful appearance. But because I'm not very familiar with the options I also did not ready know where to go.
I had heard excellent things about Aqua Plastic Surgery Center from friends and knew they had recently opened an office in West Palm Beach. Knowing that this medical group has an established office in Jupiter and that the doctor is head of plastic surgery at the local train hospital and has earned himself an excellent reputation locally, I knew this would be a place that I would get well taken care of and because the office was fairly new to the area I was hoping they'd be running some specials.
I called the office to inquire if I could get a consultation as I wasn't actually sure what I wanted. I spoke with a woman Holly who was more than helpful and set me up with an appointment the next day. Without my even asking she told me that they had some great special running and if I liked what I heard I could have the procedure done that day as their head anti-aging and injection specialist would be there as well to advice me on the best options.
Next day I showed up for my appointment and was greeted by incredibly lovely Holly who I had spoken to in the phone. Sending I was nervous she immediately offered me a cold refreshment and suggested I'd like to see the office and look at some photos as my nerves settled. I was then taken into meet Pam who was the expert. Her advice was excellent and actually rather than suggesting several things as I had expected , she actually told me less is best and that I should start with Botox around my crows feet and forehead and a slightly fuller lip with juvederm as the Botox would soften my whole face and the lips would give me a more youthful appearance. I told her I had recently had extensive dental work done to restore my smile and actually really excited about the lips.
After fifteen minutes of numbing cream she started and while I was scared, Holly held my hand and talked me through it all. But then seeing Pam's reaction to how much better my lips were looking as she did the procedure , my mind went away from being scared to being excited. In all I would say both Botox and juvederm took about 20 minutes maybe more as Pam truly took her time and studied my face as she worked on me.
I immediately could see the difference and although the lips are a little sore after being injected , it didn't stop me from putting on some lipstick and meeting friends two hours later for a birthday drink.
I actually love the results and realized that doing these little tune ups on a regular basis will keep me looking good and keep me looking as young as I feel! Thank you Holly and Pam - your advice and recommendations were dead on and your caring and service was truly comforting and gave me the strength to actually get this done that day rather than saying "I need to think about this" and walking out because I was scared to do it. Before my appointment I thought I actually would chicken out but once I was there , that thought never even crossed my mind and now I have beautiful lips that complete my new smile!
